Olympus and the Sony sensor recall?29 Mar 2006 18:30 GMT3
Can anyone share some first-hand experiences with Olympus' responsiveness
to this? Are they overwhelmed with repair orders?
In November I emailed Olympus, quoting their service advisory, and asking
if the serial number of my C5050Z is among the affected units. Within a

Can anyone suggest a good digital printing co for either or both

An interesting new small camera. I'm still waiting for the Panasonic TZ1

Buying lenses on Ebay29 Mar 2006 15:34 GMT23
Have any of you noticed that the price good used lenses sell for on Ebay
are very high.  You can buy the same lenses in a camera store for the same
price and save the shipping cost.  Of course, you will pay the state tax.
In short, there are no bargains to be had on Ebay for ...
Where to get enlargements29 Mar 2006 14:31 GMT6
(I'm new to this group, looked through the last 1000 messages,
but didn't see anything applicable.)
Where might I look for comments and ratings on different U.S.
labs that do enlargements of digital photos, up to perhaps 18in
Noise reduction?29 Mar 2006 09:32 GMT11
I've been digital for a year now with a tiny Canon Ixus. I'm seriously
looking at an entry level SLR like a D50 or D70 (we have some other
Nikon AF lenses). I read stuff on the group about noise reduction being
done out of camera with a D70 but in camera with a D50.
Best Way to Increase # of Pictures on a Memory Card?29 Mar 2006 07:19 GMT16
I have a friend on vacation who called me to say she is down to her
last memory card and wants to maximize the pictures she can get on the
card.  I've never thought about this question before.
She will be printing the pictures 4x6 or 5x7.

photo management tool.

? what my camera sees, via my pc monitor29 Mar 2006 01:12 GMT9
I have an Olympus C730 and I would like to know if I can hook it to my pc to
get a real-time picture on my PC monitor of what it is seeing without
releasing the shutter. I have a remote to handle the zoom and shutter. These
are indoor shots that I need a larger view of , before ...
