Anyone tried one'a these?06 Mar 2006 16:06 GMT9
My brother was asking if these things are any good, looking at getting
one for his XT... frankly, I've never seen one before... please, no
stupid elitist comments, obviously it's not up to a good proper
wide-angle, just looking for opinions from anyone who's actually used one.

Transparent photo with backlight06 Mar 2006 15:43 GMT7
I was wondering if someone already tried to created a backlight device
to display photos (pictures) on a vertical wall.
In fact, I'm installing 12 volts cable light system in a room and I

Nikon D70 off/on switch06 Mar 2006 15:00 GMT9
My D70 on/off switch is malfunctioning which means that the camera is
always on unless I remove the battery. Does anyone know if there is
anyway to fix this problem other than sending the camera away?
Assessing quality images on a laptop screen06 Mar 2006 14:11 GMT12
I drive a Canon 20d and regularly try to assess raw and jpegs on my 15 inch
Acer laptop screen. This happens to have quite a shiny screen but despite
taking reasonable precautions against reflection etc I am never sure when I
am seeing the 'correct' image.  I try to ensure 90 ...
What's the slope of the increase in noise as ISO goes up?06 Mar 2006 13:04 GMT10
A long while ago, I was wondering how _noise_ increases with ISO, and how
this relates to sensor (pixel) size.
I think I've finally figured it out. (It's pretty simple, and probably
somewhere on Roger C's site if I had just bothered to read...)
Nikon D1x LCD problem06 Mar 2006 11:26 GMT3
I purchased a nikon d1x and since i received it the LCD has not been
working properly. in any mode, playback, review, menu, etc the LCD 8
times out of 10 will turn on, but only be a blank/black backlit screen.

How fast do P&S digital cameras depreciate?06 Mar 2006 10:55 GMT14
With 3 digital cameras I'm not looking for another for myself, but I browse
through eBay offers looking for one for a friend who's a newbie.  If PCs
depreciate by half each year, as I once read,  how fast do digital cameras
depreciate?  Is there a rule-of-thumb formula?  I'm ...
Too many DSLRs?06 Mar 2006 04:56 GMT38
Now that dSLRs are a hot commodity, many previously non SLR makers are
joining the game. Good is that it will keep the players advancing with newer
features and models at lower prices. Bad is that it can eventually saturate
the market, producing no profits or losses for some ...

I am giving away an old computer to a friend and possibly introduce him
about digital camera as well. I am looking for any free software that I
can put in the machine. Thanks.
Sony DSC S9006 Mar 2006 04:27 GMT2
I just bought one of these cameras and I'm quite happy with it, but not
with the instruction manual. Is anyone willing to help me decipher some
of the stuff in the "histogram" and help me with the manual functions
of the camera?
I have digital photos of Korey Jerome Kruse wearing ladies underwear.  Where should I post them?06 Mar 2006 02:50 GMT5
I have digital photos of Korey Jerome Kruse wearing ladies underwear.
Where should I post them?
Korey J. Kruse is an anti-religious extremist that harasses the good

HP is 4 picoliters, many Canons and Epson 1.5 picoliters. Can a
difference be seen or very easily seen in fine detail of 4 vs 1.5
picoliters. Is color gamut easily noticably better at 1.5. I met an HP
rep yesterday who stated HP is 4 picoliters,  prints from HP compare
Canon 5D and old flashguns05 Mar 2006 20:50 GMT21
I have a 25 year old but still very good Braun 370BVC flashgun, I want
to know if I can use it with the Canon 5D? I notice that the Canon has a
flash sync connector. Is it safe to use this with the Braun? Obviously
it cannot be used in other than manual mode, no TTL exposure.
