camera for copy stand07 Mar 2006 07:36 GMT5
I have been copying miscellaneous items of paperwork (up to A4 size)
using a good quality sturdy photographic copy stand and a run of the
mill digital (5M pixels) 3x optical zoom camera.
Results have been adequate for what I want (a readable record of what

ISO 20,000 revisited:  Night and Low Light Photography with Digital Cameras07 Mar 2006 04:13 GMT19
A few weeks ago we had a long discussion on a new
announcement of an ISO 20,000 sensor followed by
discussion of intensified sensors.  Some of us
pointed out that digital cameras already had quantum

The one above will probably be used in the coming Pentax 645D with

Disconcerting sight at Canadian Auto Show07 Mar 2006 03:12 GMT121
About 1/4 of the  people shooting pictures were using camera phones.
I'm wondering if these people would be using real cameras or they just
took photos because it was convenient?
Photo Printers07 Mar 2006 02:53 GMT2
I am looking for a photo printer for less than $500.
I am not concerned about speed only quality. I only expect to print about
four 8 x 10 prints and ten 4 x 6 prints every week, but it is a lot more fun
printing your own.

who you are) No wonder the usenet is dying. Are we allowed to ...

purchasing or is it much inferior to the DS2.

pentaprism for a SLR?
Jank Tripod06 Mar 2006 16:44 GMT4
Well, I bought the jank tripod from Wal-Mart. It seemed to do exactly what I
needed it to do, it's a little flimsy, moves when I press the shutter but I
