35mm film scanner questions16 Mar 2006 20:58 GMT55
I know there has been discussion on this before, but I now find myself in
the market for a film scanner. I expect to scan about 5 films per week.
Also, I have older Nikon bodies and lenses. Am I right in thinking that with
a good film scanner I can expect similar photograph quality ...
Canon EOS5 equipment - digital compatibility16 Mar 2006 19:53 GMT16
Hi, I'm looking for advice/recommendations as to whether I can obtain a
digital camera body that will accept the lenses off my EOS5 35mm film camera
(EF 28-105 and EF 75-300).
Many thanks.
need script-able camera control16 Mar 2006 19:22 GMT8
Can anyone recommend an app that allows me to script control
of my digital camera?
My first choice was linux, gphoto2, and perl because I'm comfortable
scripting in UNIX and Perl but I'm finding it very frustrating
Using a Contax TLA-200 flash on a Canon EOS 5D - will my camera blow up?16 Mar 2006 18:54 GMT13
Hello, I have a G2 rangefinder kit and have today acquired the
beautiful EOS 5D w/ 24-105 lens.  I will be buying a 430EX flash in the
next few weeks, but would really like something more compact for the
times when I don't want to carry a big hammerhead flash around with me.

Does anyone know of a good place to buy a refurbished digital Nilkon
SLR? I'd like to get something better than a D-70 but am on a limited

wow, found something really cool16 Mar 2006 16:21 GMT6
The show NCIS, they use nikon d100's.  I have been wondering what they
shot, and knew they had digital nikons, but it had been bugging me what
they actually used.
Dumb user photo editing and printing...16 Mar 2006 16:15 GMT35
My father has been an SLR photography buff for years, and recently got a
digital.  He loves the camera but goes to the store to edit photos on their
kiosk.   I got him started on editing at home with the stupid kodak easy
share software, but quite frankly its NOT easy - its not ...

Printing Problem16 Mar 2006 15:50 GMT11
My old CRT monitor has gone on the fritz, so I got a new LCD. I work with
Nikon Raw files and even though I did a monitor profile with a Greytag
Eye-One Display the colors are way different on my Epson 2200 printer than
on my screen. With my old CRT the difference was only slight ...

Flash for 570016 Mar 2006 11:25 GMT2
I just got a Nikon SB-80DX for my 5700.  Works great!  I got it on Ebay for
under $150.00
It is a hotshoe attachment.  By the way, you can set your 5700 to slow sync
and get much better flash coverage.  While looking thru the viewfinder, push
canon SD400 image brightness16 Mar 2006 10:37 GMT1
I shot several pictures with my newly bought canon SD400 in auto mode
and uploaded them to my computer. The outcome on the screen are all darker
than they appeared in the LCD screen of the camera, so I have to adjust the
brightness with photoshop element to about +50. What's ...
