Panasonic FZ5: Keeping settings between shots?17 Mar 2006 22:45 GMT4
Yesterday, I got a new FZ5. :-) Actually, not much is holding me back
from opening the package and putting it to use - returning it is not an
option since it was a gift.  Nevertheless, I'd like to know in advance:
I'd occasionally like to do stereo shots with the camera, as follows.

I have a really big problem of my digital pics in my computer!!! I

Help with canon flash17 Mar 2006 20:29 GMT5
I have a canon 580xe flash and a 430xe both can be fired together the
problem is when you make the 430 a slave the red assist light on the
front blinks all the time. I want to use this setup for sports and I
feel the blinking light is a hindrance to the Players is there a way to
Wide-angle attachments for zooms: any good?17 Mar 2006 20:27 GMT9
I have a Finepix 5200 and was going to live with its range of focal
lengths. (Beyond those limits I figured I should get more ambitious
gear.) But I'm thinking of adding a wide-angle attachment because the
widest view I get just won't be enough for a decent interior shot, such
D70s or D200 ?17 Mar 2006 18:09 GMT24
I plan to order another camera for my collection. I'd like a D200. But it
weighs two pounds! The D70s is a half pound lighter.
What are the differences? I plan to shoot at a low resolution (I only put
pictures on the web), so the 10 MP vs 6 MP does nothing for me. I see the
printing photo's17 Mar 2006 17:41 GMT4
I have a printer that will do borderless printing, I would like to print
some of my photos off, but in various sizes like A4, 10 x 8, 7 x 5 and 6 x 4
and so on, I would like a piece of software that will allow me to do this, I
don't need any thing else just a simple program that ...
Sharpening in and out of camera compared17 Mar 2006 17:34 GMT11
A quick experiment the other day confirmed my belief that in-camera
sharpening of digital images is preferable to relying totally on post-
processing.  Note: this test was done in JPEG, not RAW, in order to
concentrate solely on the in-camera settings without the extra
Inkalike.com Epson-compatible ink?17 Mar 2006 17:21 GMT5
I see that http://inkalike.com sells inkjet printer cartridges
that purport to be Epson-compatible, for less than half the price.
Does anybody have experience with these?
Inkalike.com is affiliated with Inkjetart.com, a reputable company.
Paintshop Pro destroys Comment and Caption?17 Mar 2006 16:45 GMT1
In PaintShop Pro 8 if I crop a JPG which contains either a JPG Comment
or an IPTC Caption, or both, am I correct that PSP 8 deletes them?
If so, is that poor design true of later versions of PSP also?
Olympus SP-350 or Canon Powershot A62017 Mar 2006 16:40 GMT1
The subject says it....which of the above would you go for? The
Olympus has 8 megapixels, while the Canon has 7.1, but of course
megapixels aren't the only deciding factor.
I'm a little afraid of the E18 error I've read about which plagues
Is there a decent film scanner for 6x4.5 medium format film $500 or less?17 Mar 2006 15:22 GMT6
Is there a decent film scanner for 6x4.5 medium format film $500 or less?
New or used?
Thinking about buying a Fuji GA645ZI camera

Epson Stylus Photo EX on behavior, ink out or... what?17 Mar 2006 15:02 GMT7
I have an Epson Stylus Photo EX printer which I use only (and only
occasionally) for printing photographs.  Today I tried to print a
black-and-white photograph for the first time, and got very puzzling
results.
ProspectV 1.1 Magic Demo Pack (freeware) - image exploration17 Mar 2006 13:59 GMT1
last January I announced on the Web the availability of
ProspectV 1.0 Demo, an image exploration tool that loads any
standard 2D image, and visualizes it with pans, zooms, and
rotations, in real-time, in full screen, and at full frame-rate.
Video Capability of Canon S2 IS17 Mar 2006 12:30 GMT7
I guess this topic has been beaten to death already, but still I
thought I will ask again.
Essentially I am looking for a good digital camera & camcorder combo.
>From most of the feedback I have seen the "Canon S2 IS" definitely
Nikon D70 RAW converted to JPEG - jpeg file size 3MB ? 5 MB?17 Mar 2006 11:40 GMT3
