| sd9 -> dust on sensor! | 20 Mar 2006 13:11 GMT | 21 |
George Preddy, our resident sd9 salesman tells us the the sd9 has a sealed body that keeps dust away from the lens. Hmmm. Seems it does a pretty good job of keeping the dust ON the lens as well. <http://www.pbase.com/harpeople/dust

Can someone here please recommend software to burn slide shows onto Vcd's for distribution to family and friends? Hopefully one that will allow the addition of audio and text screens? I didn't really care for the .pdf one in PhotoShop Elements.

| DOF issues | 20 Mar 2006 09:36 GMT | 11 |
Yesterdays discussion brought up an interesting point about DOF and digital cameras - the smaller the sensor, the more DOF for a given aperature. I didn't realize this was an issue in picking a digital camera. I think that many years ago I had read that MF cameras had a narrower ...

| DUST: Does this rule out buying DSLR's? | 20 Mar 2006 06:40 GMT | 154 |
I have been reading the review of the Sony DSC-R1 on Ken Rockwell's site http://www.kenrockwell.com/sony/dsc-r1.htm and I see that the conclusion is that you are better off with a real DSLR like the Canons or the Nikon D50. But it has always been the potential DUST

I have developed a really neat way to mount and display inkjet prints and I would like to hear what you think. I print on rag fine art paper or canvas on my Epson 4000 (17 inch) printer. I dry them in my Seal 210 press (minutes after printing) then, after trimming off the white

| Tripod for Panoramoic Photos? | 20 Mar 2006 03:09 GMT | 8 |
Hi. I just bought a Canon Powershot A610. I'm interested in using it's Stitch Assist mode to make panoromic images. I tried making a few without a tripod and I had only marginal success in stitching together the images. I therefore think I might need a tripod to ensure that my ...
