having a lab print my digital panorama file23 Mar 2006 21:07 GMT9
For the first time I'm thinking of having a lab print some digital
files for me.  Up till now, I've done them all myself, but now I have
some big panoramas that my printer can't handle.  The requirements of
the lab have me a bit confused, however, and I'm hoping someone here
Is there a dedicated aaa charger?23 Mar 2006 20:29 GMT6
I expect it to either be small or that it can charge a large number of
aaa batteries, more than 4. Anyone knows?
Thanks.

Folks,
If there is dust on the sensor (20D), does it appear as black specs or
can it also appear as specs that are lighter than the background color?
Monitor calibration-profiling packages, your insight23 Mar 2006 16:28 GMT7
I am doing my due diligence to buy a monitor calibration package.  My
purpose is to calibrate my LCD screen that is not a high end and
expensive one but an ordinary HP LCD monitor.
After reading the calibration hardware evaluation here
Tokina 28-80 2.8 ATX PRO is too soft23 Mar 2006 16:26 GMT13
The Tokina 28-80 2.8 ATX PRO is a pretty decent lens for the price, but
my images are very soft if I open it up to 5.6 or wider and I'm zoomed
in closer than 70mm or so. I'm using a Canon 20D. The images are sharp
when I close up the aperture or zoom out.
Slideshow DVDs for TV - optimum resolution for pictures?23 Mar 2006 15:51 GMT6
I have a 7mpx camera that takes pictures 3000 odd by 2000 odd pixels. I
understand TV resolution is quite poor - SO - when I create a slideshow for
my 32" widescreen TV what is the optimum resolution I need to make my
pictures (and what crop ratio) to watch them on TV? Presumably no ...

Recharged Batteries23 Mar 2006 14:23 GMT9
I have a Digital 16 hour battery charger. It came with 4 AA 2000mAh  NiMh
batteries.
Can I use any NiMh batteries in it? Do they have to be 2000mAh?

Camcorder choice.23 Mar 2006 14:22 GMT1
Don't know if this ng includes video cameras!
I'm looking to buy a camcorder, but I want a strong optical zoom, and it
must have an A/V in connector, for connecting to an external bullet camera.
I've looked at the Sony HC42E, but it's a little expensive, and the zoom
How to keep Canon Ixus 430 from turning off when connected to TV?23 Mar 2006 10:04 GMT2
I've got a Canon Ixus 430 and it can be connected to the TV to show what's
live in front of the camera.  However, after a short while, like 2-3
minutes, the screen will turn black.  I will have to turn the switch from
playing to photoshoot and back to playing to get live images ...
