able to take digital photos of the students work for portfolios. Almost all
the pictures will be face and hand close ups that will be printed at about
8'x10". We are lost in a see of features and options. ...

I thought that I had finally decided on a digital camera to purchase and it
looked like the Canon S2 IS was going to be the choice and then I read the
reviews more carefully. It does not have RAW capability. I need the
following reqiuirements:

Looking to see what everyone recommends for a tripod height. I'm going to
buy a cheap (Wal-Mart) tripod but there are three different heights. Do I go
for one that fits my height (6')? Do I go for one that's small for ease of
portability? Does it really matter?

It's pretty arid, boring, stultifying, take your pick, when two of the
longest threads are about the fine points of formatting CF cards and the
all important dustup over......dust.
C'mon, Canon, Nikon, give us something interesting to chew over this

I have tentatively decided on the Panasonic 30K rather than the Fuji
S9000. Before I go shopping, I'd like to know if there are any other
similar cameras out there in the approximate same price range.  I'd
hate to buy, and a week later see something else with better

Lots of traffic about the Canon D30, but I noticed nothing

I'm looking for a good wifi camera I can put outside and I'd like it to

Following on from my search for a perfect package for my new U/W camera
Canon A62O I am looking to replace my old Epson printer Sylus Color 600 with
something that will let me print photos and documents and also burn off to a

My Nikon 5700 by default turns on "Image Sharpening" and "Image
Adjustment" (=Contrast) when in manual mode. Can I have the same effect
with Adobe Photoshop, if I turn these settings off? I suspect that in
some cases the above settings had a no so good effect on my pictures,
