| Nikon D200: Phil Askey's Full Review | 25 Feb 2006 19:05 GMT | 34 |
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikond200/ . . . . you really can't see any significant advantage or disadvantage going either way (8 to 10 or 10 to 12). You really wouldn't be able to see a difference in print even at very large sizes.

| The ARMY of crummy little silver boxes... | 25 Feb 2006 17:38 GMT | 13 |
Nothing more boring than seeing another slew of these things coming from the mfgs. What is the idea, to wallpaper Walmart with these clones of each other? There is a smattering of units that display some distinction (Fuji T10 for e.g.) but for whatever individual

| A use for more pixels | 25 Feb 2006 16:14 GMT | 25 |
There has been a lot of talk that more pixels does not necessarily make a better image, and to a large degree this is true. But there is an aspect of higher pixel counts that seems to be overlooked, it can reduce the occurrence of moiré patterns. If you were to take the AA

| Canon 28-80mm lens noise | 25 Feb 2006 15:18 GMT | 13 |
I have a Canon 28-80mm lens and, with AF on, when it focuses it makes a high-pitches whiny kind of noise that is, needless to say, very disheartening. It doesn't do this when on Manual Focus, which leads me to believe it is the focusing gears. I'm not sure if this is a big

I don't find anything in the archives for this group, so here's my question: I want to try my hand at portraits (my family) and don't want to spend a ton on backdrop(s). I have a 20D with a

| Nissan - Disappointing? | 25 Feb 2006 00:38 GMT | 16 |
My old '93 Altima is getting up there in mileage (170,000) so I've been checking out the new models. What a disappointment! I see very few improvements in the newer models than my 14 year-old car. I expected the new ones to get 150mpg and have 0-60 times in the 3-second range.
