Toshiba PDRM70 5-Function Button02 Feb 2006 19:39 GMT1
Does anyone know where I might get the 5-function  button located on
the back of this camera? It broke right where it slides onto the shaft
of the switch.
New dSLR for Construction Project Documentation, etc.02 Feb 2006 19:03 GMT7
Hello! Firstly, I'd like to thank all of you for providing such a great
forum and your patience with those of us in the ignorant category. This
was posted to DCR.com, but things are somewhat slow so far, so I wanted
to see what your thoughts were. As can be seen below, I have ...
Alternatives to the Panasonic DMCFZ30S02 Feb 2006 18:55 GMT24
I would have liked to buy the  DMCFZ30S, but the noise factor at higher
ISO's makes me think I'll be disappointed when shooting in available light
or at fast shutter speeds..  The price was right also.
Now, I am (anxiously) considering the Nikon D70s, and, yes, even the D200,
canon s20 ac adapter02 Feb 2006 18:54 GMT5
As I no longer have the original charger, and the replacement charger
has no AC socket, can anyone tell me what I need to run this camera
from a  UK mains socket. I have the lead from the camera but no 6.5v
1.5a source.
Eventually bought the Canon 350d (rebel XT)02 Feb 2006 16:43 GMT11
And,
I am very very pleased with my choice. Thankyou for the advice last week
that helped greatly in my decision.
havn't really tested it yet but hope to get out at the weekend. Compared to

Does mixing equal amounts of RGB give black?
Thanks,

Qualitative inputs- Nikon D70s vs Canon EOS Rebel XT/350D02 Feb 2006 10:45 GMT6
Request members opinions on the D70s vs 350D/Rebel XT. I love the D70's
feaure set and directness of controls (I'm an N75 user) but am put off
by:
a. The very poor viewfinder (very low magnification)
If you have 4GB, are you getting 4GB?02 Feb 2006 08:55 GMT66
If you are fortunate enough to have 4GB of physical memory for your image
editing with Windows XP, are you actually seeing 4GB?
Thanks,
David
Dayhike Panorama02 Feb 2006 08:50 GMT8
I took this last week when it wasn't raining..  I do realize that the sky
blend is fubar in a couple of places, but I fixed it as well as I currently
am able to do so..    .
Comments and suggestions welcome.
Canon image stabalized  (is) lens02 Feb 2006 06:14 GMT7
I am considering buying the Canon 28-135 F3.5-5.6 IS USM Auto focus
lens. Can anyone comment on the strengths and weaknesses of it. I would
use it for scenery, wildlife, kids sports and the occasional portrait.
Compact Flash Question: SanDisk & Toshiba02 Feb 2006 05:51 GMT1
I recently bought a Canon Rebel XT along with a SanDisk Ultra II 2GB
Type I Compact Flash memory card.  The memory card has a read speed of
10MB/sec. with a write speed of 9MB/sec.  I want to get another 2GB
memory card of at least equal quality just to have a spare.  I see in
PC Control of Ollympus C300002 Feb 2006 05:14 GMT2
Hello. Does anybody know if there is a any special way to place this
camera in PC Control Mode. This would be to use the Camera Control
software program. Since I can't find out perhaps there simply isn't a
way or isn't required.
AGFA SD card (kind of product review)02 Feb 2006 05:12 GMT1
Our "Big W" store ("Wal-Mart") sells Sandisk Standard SD 256MB cards on
special for AU$42 (US$32) -- this is the one I got. But I also saw that
they started to sell SD cards by AGFA. The 256MB card is labelled to
have an "average transfer speed of 45x" (i.e., 7MB/s), "made in Japan
Refurbished camera02 Feb 2006 03:41 GMT4
Is it a good idea to get a refurbished camera or would a new
inexpensive camera be better.  I'm asking for a friend who is thinking
of buying a Minolta Dimage Z3 for $179.00 Cd but is undecided.  I
would appreciate a few comments.
E-330 at 1600 ISO "seems" pretty clean02 Feb 2006 02:21 GMT2
I saw a shot that had been reduced in size taken at that
speed.  Despite being taken in terribly low light conditions,
it appeared very clean, even in the darker areas and red
areas.  However, until some full sized shots turn up,
