Question about Oly 8080 RAW07 Feb 2006 01:10 GMT15
I am rather new to digital photography.  I love my Olympus 8080, but I
usually shoot in the JPG mode.  I have experimented with the RAW mode
but refrain from using as it takes forever (10+ seconds) to save the
image to memory before the camera is ready for the next shot.  More
Using fewer than a camera's maximum pixels06 Feb 2006 23:41 GMT7
I have a Canon 300D, which has different quality setting.  The lower the
setting, the fewer pixels the pictures have.
Since the lens always covers all 6.1 megapixels, which of the following
happens when I take a low-quality picture?
Nikon D50 lense question.06 Feb 2006 22:56 GMT5
Bought my Nikon D50 about six months ago and I am very happy with it.
It takes really great pictures but the only thing that concerns me about
owning a DSLR is the frequent requirement to change lenses, the concern
arises from possible internal dust/dirt contamination and the ...

I dropped my Canon A200 yesterday, buggered up the battery / outer covers a bit, and
Which brand is best?06 Feb 2006 22:09 GMT9

modes (NOT just manual),
Fuji S5000 or S5600 Which one should I get. (Reasons in Main Text)06 Feb 2006 21:21 GMT5
Mainly I'm confused between the resolutions between the two.
S5000 6Mp    (3.1 Effective) 800iso
S5600 5.1Mp (5.1 Effective) HR Super CCD Real Photo Technology 1600 iso
The main thing confusing me confusion is the difference between the
Olympus card error problems06 Feb 2006 20:56 GMT2
I was wondering if anyone had any advice on buying a new digital camera
that is known for not having card error memory problems. I have read
hundreds of posts and stories on the web about them and I am not
talking about the kind that result from human error, formatting in the

LCD color uniformity?06 Feb 2006 18:24 GMT7
In the olden days, you could go into a TV store and see a
wall of CRT tubes, all with slightly different colors.
Are LCD monitors more or less uniform in color representation,
sample to sample, than CRT monitors?
Canon A510 or A52006 Feb 2006 17:33 GMT4
I will be purchasing a new entry level camera in a couple of days and I'm
really torn between the Canon A510 and the A520.
I think I've read every review and webpage out there, which may be the
problem. At first, my gut told me to get the A520, but after all the reading
picasa06 Feb 2006 17:24 GMT4
I use picasa because it is a powerful free application.
However, I do have one problem.  I edit and crop the pix successfully, they
fill my screen.  When I e mail them the pix are too large to see on the
screen, like ,maybe 5x too big.
Epson color cast06 Feb 2006 16:52 GMT27
Epson R-300. Sometime after replacing jsut the black cartridge I am
getting a colorcast. Somewhat magenta in the dark greys, somewhat
greenish in the midranges of a grayscale slider. No print management
done by Epson drivers; all in PS. Nozzle checks all appear all right.
Sony Mavicas06 Feb 2006 16:29 GMT10
Who still uses these floppy disk based monsters anymore?  I dont see them
being sold in many stores anymore (even the CD versions).  However I still
see them selling online.  I bet schools have a high use for them, and those
working in architecture, etc.  When I worked at OfficeMax I ...
