Which OS does my camera use?28 Feb 2006 00:12 GMT23
I haven't really thought about it before, but this is one of those
perplexing questions that have never been discussed here before.  Reason why
I ask which OS is embedded in Nikon and Canon DSLRs is reliability issues
and operator friendliness.  My guess is Nikon uses an embedded ...
Customer reviews of mail order camera retailers27 Feb 2006 23:53 GMT5
Half a dozen years ago I purchased a Canon 35 mm SLR over the Web.  At that
time I found, and studied extensively, a web site on which customers rated
various Web camera retailers. These review of the service, care and
handling, shipping promptness, etc. were invaluable to me.  ...

Time-lapse during daylight27 Feb 2006 20:25 GMT16
I recently got a new Olympus Digital 800 camera, which is great fun to
use. I've been trying to get some time-lapse photos. During the night,
this is easy - all I do is keep the shutter open for a number of
seconds. If I try this during the day, the images get "whited out", not
Is Canon Powershot A520 a decent camera? Alternatives-for 15 year old....27 Feb 2006 20:14 GMT6

This would be for a 15 year old. I would like a point and shoot camera
that is fairly easy to use. Looks like the Canon Powershot A520 might
fit the bill. While only 4MP and some red eye issues, it appears to be

Printers27 Feb 2006 16:28 GMT5
Reading reviews of the Canon i9900, Epson R1800, and HP 8750 it seems
the Epson R1800 is the best all around color and B&W printer. Would the
Epson be the best choise and a product that does not have a better
successor comming out soon. From what ive read the Canon B&W prints are

Trip to Russia. Which lens to take?27 Feb 2006 14:15 GMT16
The point here is not to buy a new lens. After paying for that trip, I
won't have much left. The question is whether to take both of my
lenses.
My Rebel XT lens is the Canon EF-S 17-85mm 1:4-5.6 IS USM
