An Epson 1290 question11 Feb 2006 15:27 GMT5
What's it doing for the first 30 or so head passes when it is set to print
without margins?
The setting works and gives good borderless prints - but it doesn't seem to
start laying ink or advancing the paper for a minute or two.
Scanning or post processing Question 11 Feb 2006 12:32 GMT8
I have scanned a photo that was printed on a pebble finish paper.  The
texture of the finish is coming through on the scan.  I would like to get
rid of it.  Any suggestions about scanning technique, scanner, or post
processing that would reduce or eliminate the problem?
Cannot process Raw11 Feb 2006 09:05 GMT7
Recently purchased a Canon S70.  There is a IAPP USB digital memory card
reader/writer in the front of the computer with about 5 slots, but the
one for the CF card does not operate -- perhaps I can find a driver
update, perhaps not.
Canon PowerShot A70 repairing11 Feb 2006 07:22 GMT4
I think I have fried DC circuit board while trying to use
"unauthorized" homemade 4.5V adapter.  I would like to fix it myself.
Would appreciate any info on how you fixed this problem; starting with
how to open the unit.  Or should I just forget about the repair and get
Monitors for pros11 Feb 2006 07:03 GMT11
What monitors do most pros use? Flat, if so which? Does CRT still reign
supreme? If so, which CRT? (my Dell 19" CRT shows signs of old age...).
Thanks in advance for any comments.
JPG has no Date Modified11 Feb 2006 06:05 GMT7
In a My Computer folder of 20 or so JPG files, one has no entry in the
Date Modified column. Don't recall ever seeing that before. Remains
the same if I move it elsewhere. Any ideas how that might arise
please?

Contact Sheets - Does Such a Program Exist?11 Feb 2006 02:37 GMT9

CS2 Bridge...for management it works just fine11 Feb 2006 02:28 GMT5
A while ago, I asked about management tools for pictures. I just
installed CS2, and the bridge feature runs independently of the main
program and works very well for quickly viewing files, in fact it's as
good or better than ACDSee or XnView and certainly better than Picasa.

Hello, I'm new to the group, and new to photography in general. I hope
to stick around and get to know some of you.
My question aims at the lens adapter for the Kodak P850. [ The page for
it is here: http://tinyurl.com/9fnss ] So will this allow me to attach
