Copyright questions - what do you do now14 Feb 2006 23:18 GMT31
Having recently moved into the digital world, I was wondering what you guys
do about copyright. In the film world, you can hold onto the negatives and
thus secure your rights as a photographer.
With digital, this is not an option. So, what do you do?

Bob Atkins reviews the EOS 5D
The popular camera reviewer has written an article on the Canon's
newest dSLR on the market. The review is kept short and tidy, and might

Any thoughts on the best album software?14 Feb 2006 19:13 GMT1
Hi all.  I'm trying yet again to find some album software that suits
me.  I have been using my old, old Kodak "Picture Easy" software,
which I love for its simplicity.  But it is maddening, because it
doesn't play nicely with Windows XP, and I have to kill out and reload
Utility to Search EXIF Data?14 Feb 2006 15:21 GMT4
Is there a utility that will search through image files EXIF data and
return any that meet the criteria.  For example, search for any shots
taken during March 10-15th, 2002.  Hoping it's free.

dead finepix 3800 - need advice14 Feb 2006 15:07 GMT3
...it was working fine after three years of hard use... then I heard a
little rattle for a week or so, then yesterday - NOTHING. Dead. Inert.
Well, the warranty is long past so I opened it up, hoping to maybe find
a fuse, which I did not. I DID find two tiny loose screws, though. ...
Printer test images, or how to make one...14 Feb 2006 11:05 GMT28
To take complete control of tonality in my new printer, I'd like a B&W test
image that goes a lot further than the five squares on the MacBeth chart.
I'd like a series in 1-stop, 1/2-stop, and 1/3-stop steps and a 256-step
wedge.
third-party digicam software14 Feb 2006 10:40 GMT6
I'm in search for third-party software(freeware if possible) to
extract photos from usb digicams running on Windows, as I have made
bad experiences with the memory usage of the supplied software. On
Linux, there are third-party projects to access digicams, so it should
Hewlett Packard-Pathetic Customer Service14 Feb 2006 09:38 GMT2
Two years ago I bought my fiance an HP Digital Camera. The camera has
been used maybe 10 times.  Long story short, a few months ago we heard
a "pop" while using the thing and it went dead.  We tried HP customer
service but they are an absolute disgrace, and many local shops refuse
"The suspect was found wearing a necklace of vaginas"14 Feb 2006 09:26 GMT16
That is my initial premise for an SNL skit. Where would you take it
from there?
Rebel XT sounds14 Feb 2006 07:03 GMT8
The fake (I think) sound of film winding through the camera on my new Rebel
XT is driving me nuts.  Is there any way to shut it off?  There is nothing
in the manual.  My old Sony DSC828 also made this sound, but it could be
shut off.
Tamrac Zoom Case with D50 and 70-300 lens14 Feb 2006 06:01 GMT5
I shoot with a D50 and am planning to buy both the Nikkor 70-300G as
well as a case.
The case I am considering is the Tamrac Travel Zoom 5 case which can
supposedly take a camera with a lens that is 4.5 inches long and the
