FZ20 status relative to Sony H1 etc ?26 Jan 2006 09:58 GMT12
I believe the Panasonic FZ5 is usually classed as an affordable
prosumer product and a direct competitor to cameras such as the Sony H1
and Canon S2, while the FZ20 was intended as a high-end fixed-lens
model. But the FZ20 was introduced well over a year ago and has been
Non "lossy" formats ?26 Jan 2006 09:45 GMT17
I want to do work on my Nikon .nef files but my Photoshop 7 won't
allow that. (I don't particularly want to pay for an upgrade.) What
non "lossy" formats could I use instead please ?
From the above answer should one be used in preference to the

Folks
for a number of valid reasons I use my machine monitor set to 800 by 600.  I
use a number of RAW conversion programs and have recently received the
latest copy of DPP with my new Canon.  It would appear that this program

Does anyone know if the Nikon SF210 (for the LS5000) works with the older
LS2000?
The SF200 has been discontinued.
Nikon 790026 Jan 2006 05:56 GMT17
Any owners care to give a review?  I'm thinking about buying
this one.  The only drawback I can find (at my level) is it
is reported to give bad pictures in low light without flash.
Thanks.

fictional faulty pc with data on it legal question26 Jan 2006 02:57 GMT47
Just brought a new PC. It has a 12 month waranty. Something thats been at
the back of my mind now has assumed more significance. If my PC breaks down
within the warranty period I have no choice but to send it back to the shop
(in this case Dixons). They will no doubt send it off ...

PL-CIR Filters with Super Wide angle lenses?26 Jan 2006 01:22 GMT3
I recently started using a Hoya S-HMC Circular Polarizing filter on a
Canon 16-35mm f/2.8L USM lens with a 20D camera.  At the 16mm focal
length, a blue sky often looks like a rich, dark blue in one part of
the frame and fades to light blue in another part.  Is this an
400mm IS26 Jan 2006 00:14 GMT7
I have a Canon EF 400mm f/5.6 L USM. What I would really like to have is
this same lens with IS. At this point, the actual options (without
quintupling the price) are the Canon 100-400 IS, 300 f/4 IS + 1.4 TC and the
Sigma 80-400 IS. Sure, the 400 DO IS and 400 2.8 IS are ...

I've been approached by a reputable company to buy the rights to "some" of
my photos.  But first they want to see what I have to offer.  My favorite
photos in the category they are interested in exceeds 75megs.  Any
suggestions as to the pros and cons of their offer?  I have ...

After reading lots of reviews and doing lots of research I am still
