filters for digital cameras28 Jan 2006 11:30 GMT13
Besides special effect filters, including rotating polarizing filters, are
there any filters for a digital camera that are useful ? I used to keep a UV
filter on my lens when I was shooting with film, and wonder if I should do

digital SLRS and focal lengths28 Jan 2006 09:30 GMT9
After researching the Canon 350D I came across a description on the Canon
site of the 18-55mm kit lens being the equivalent to a 29-88mm in 35mm film
format. Can someone explain why the lens yields different magnification in
different formats?
28-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF Zoom-Nikkor on a D50?28 Jan 2006 09:01 GMT14
Will the 28-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF Zoom-Nikkor work seamlessly on
the D50? Looks to be a better lens than the 55-200mm.
TIA,
-Nate

Canon Rebel 350D Full Auto ISO Question?28 Jan 2006 08:23 GMT10
I just got my Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT 350D and want to make sure
everything is working correctly.   I have done a number of test shots, but
was surprised that using the Full Auto (point and shoot) basic zone does
most of its shots at an ISO 400 and only drops to 320 in bright ...
DSLR World Market-Share...Yipe.28 Jan 2006 06:27 GMT6
An interesting piece on Canon's new invention, and SED televisions (that
supposedly out-do plasma and LCD big time) also includes some figures on
Digital cameras.
Tracking down actual market figures is often frustrating, and I know there
SD card vs. multimediacard?28 Jan 2006 05:48 GMT2
What is the difference between an sd card and a multimediacard?  My canon
says it will use either?
cheap digital reflex28 Jan 2006 04:14 GMT8
I was looking for a not too costly (say around $500) digital reflex
camera.
Is there anything like that on the market? I like very much the EOS
20D, but it goes at three times the budget I can afford to allocate :-)

Good digital POS in linux?28 Jan 2006 00:36 GMT4
I know this is going to open a can of worms, as everybody has a
different idea of what a good digital camera is.
I friend of mine is looking for a digital camera.  She is not really
much into photography, and is going to need a point an shoot type
Recommended mac photo editing/managing software w/IPTC?28 Jan 2006 00:30 GMT9
I've spent a lot of time reading on the group and elsewhere, and have
yet to find a good source of information for the digital photo novice
regarding best practices for photo editing and managing (some for my
family photo scanning/archiving project).
