Hi - can anyone give me some info regarding the compatibility of Canon
battery packs for various cameras?  Will a BG-E3 (battery grip intended for

I have a Konica Minolta Dimage X1 and am looking for a replacement
battery NP-1.  Hardly any of the sites I look at stock this particular

I tend to use my DSLR (Canon 300D) quite a bit indoors in low light
conditions (eg inside churches, or when travelling, in dim rooms where
flash is not permitted). For these situations, I tend to have to take
hand-held shots due to time/space constraints.

I've been focused on digital photography for the last few years....and am
just now getting around to doing something to convert my 35mm film strips to
digital images.  I've looked at a lot of scanners in all price ranges....but
don't know how much I'll have to spend to be happy ...

Recent scary situation with my 300D. I was walking around on a 2-day
outing in which I had no access to a computer. I had a 5GB Microdrive,
and several CF cards - 1G, 512, 256 and a couple of 128s.

Which would you purchase - anyone have any experence with the N1?

Is it possible in Elements (ver 2,3,4?) to work in a calibrated color space
so images on screen and on paper are reasonably accurate or is this
capability only available in the full version of PhotoShop?

I'm interested in a wide angle lens for my Canon 20D.
The lens will be for indoor and outdoor use shooting people, landscapes,
animals, insects, portraits, and anything else that gets in front of my

site - and still not one single mention of the excellent Silkypix software,
