Broken Camera - Does it look fixable?07 Jan 2006 05:09 GMT18
I recently had a tragic accident with my Sony P200 - it was knocked
from my hands (and this was one of the few times I didn't have my strap
around my wrist).  The end result was the lens bent to one side and
would not retract back into the camera.  After awhile of working with
anyone used RRS BH-4007 Jan 2006 04:25 GMT1
I am about to purchase a tripod for my 20D and have decided on a Gitzo
G1325.  Does anyone have any experience with the Really Right Stuff BH-40
ball head?  The BH-55 gets ultimate reviews, and I want to use the RRS L
bracket.  The BH-40 is less expensive than the 55 and a pound ...

B&H has upped the price of a Nikon 18-200mm VR to $749.95.  Adorama is also
gouging, but for $30 less.
The eagle is landing but what's wrong with him?07 Jan 2006 02:59 GMT19
OK, there's not likely anything wrong with the eagle as such
but the great content of this picture is ruined by its terrible
quality:  (one meg in size)

Nikon 880007 Jan 2006 02:11 GMT1
Rumor has it that Nikon has stopped making the Coolpix 8800.
Does anyone know if the is true?
I understand that Nikon is focusing on DSLR, But DLSR does not support
LCD framming of the subject and is spendy.
Focal length conversion traditional > digital07 Jan 2006 01:48 GMT4
[OK, I googled this subject and found a thread with same subject but
the Reply function was disabled. I've noticed this before in
Google-Groups. Why do they apparently time-date the discussions? Is
that what's happening? Anyway, I still had a question and wanted to
Recommended External Flash for Kodak P85006 Jan 2006 22:27 GMT10
Hi there. I've just bought my Kodak P850. One of the main reasons of
picking P850 is that it supports external flash. I understand that
Kodak P20 is one good option, but it's a bit too expensive. So, I'm
looking for a non-dedicated 3rd party flash like Vivitar or Sunpak.

Ebay should be under investigation06 Jan 2006 22:19 GMT36
I don't know anyone who has done any kind of
business (10 or more deals) who hasn't experienced
some form of fraud.  I don't know anyone (at all)
who isn't aware of some form of fraud on Ebay.
Kodak DX4530 (problem with flash)06 Jan 2006 22:13 GMT1
My flash has recently stopped working.  But if I use the camera to
record video the light does work.  So it does not seem like a hardware
issue.  Has anyone seen this before?  I checked and there are no
firmwire updates for this camera.  Is it possible to reflash the
ACDSee 7 ICC Aware?06 Jan 2006 17:59 GMT5
Does anyone know if ACDSee 7 is ICC aware? Can it recognize an ICC
profile embedded in an image on one computer and translate it to the
ICC profile used on another?
Thanks,
