I wonder...if there's any simple software which would allow me to have a list and thumbnails of all my photos (stored on CD's) available and make searching easy and fast. I just want to be organized by groups, showing only thumbs and locations of each image. Quite similar like ...

Today I returned a Canon A620 to Bestbuy because I bought it for photography *and* shooting video. It offers 30 fps video. HOWEVER there is a problem with this model, it seems, which you will never notice

| Not many "wide-angle" compacts but, heck, many are wide-angle anyway! | 09 Jan 2006 08:30 GMT | 10 |
Hardly any compacts are officially equivalent to a 28mm film camera lens. But when I went to the store today and looked at the field of view of several compacts they sure seemed wide to me! In fact when I compared

| Darn Rechargable batteries! | 09 Jan 2006 07:42 GMT | 20 |
I've got a Kodak CX6200, an entry-level camera, great for everyday use. The only problem with it is, unless used with regular Alkaline batteries, it can take about 3 pictures before the batteries "die". The batteries aren't actually fully discharged, I can try them in other

| P&S with flash shoe? | 09 Jan 2006 05:07 GMT | 10 |
What compact point-and-shoot digicams accept external flash? I'm aware of the Canon G6 but am imagining something smaller. Even the S1 doesn't seem to have a shoe. Could some shoe-less cameras have some other sort of remote flash connector? Yes I know about optical slaves

| options for high-quality scans from B&W negs? | 09 Jan 2006 04:30 GMT | 4 |

| About EXIF and IPTC tags | 09 Jan 2006 03:53 GMT | 7 |
A free program called "The Rename" will rename your files with EXIF or IPTC information in batch mode. Exifer is cool but I don't know that it does this, this well. It will do date, size, camera model and just about everything
