Does anyone know of a photo club in the Scranton PA area?  If not
interested in forming one?

My *showcase*10 Jan 2006 00:39 GMT3
Just put together my photo showcase, largely, from my travels in Oman,
Philippines, Indonesia and India. Still have to tag them but you are
welcome to leave comments. Also, the journey started with a cheap
taiwanese 1.3MP camera, to an Olympus C-750 and now to my current Canon

PicturePackage needed?09 Jan 2006 21:28 GMT4
Do I need to install PP onto my computer to transfer pics from
camera/stick to my computer, or is it just a pic manipulation software?
I've read a few bad reviews of the software and I'm currently using
iPhoto Plus 4, which came with my scanner and I'm pretty happy with it.
D70 buffer question09 Jan 2006 20:39 GMT2
Why does the D70 buffer hold fewer (7) medium (M) size images
than large (L) size images at every image quality level (Fine, Normal,
Basic)?

sensor size09 Jan 2006 19:03 GMT11
What is the main difference between a full size sensor (EOS 5d) and
a smaller sensor size (Nikon D200). Is a smaller sensor worse in
getting light/resolution compared to a full size sensor? Why is a full
size sensor more preferable?
Minolta Dimage z-109 Jan 2006 18:32 GMT10
I've had a Z-1 for while now and it seems that in the automatic mode
the pictures are very inconsistent in terms of focus.
I've had other digital cameras and "snap shots" have been fine. (grew up
with the Minolta srt 200).
Good book for a beginner?09 Jan 2006 18:03 GMT7
I bought a Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-S40.  I've taken a few pics, but none
have been too impressive.
I bought the camera because I do watch repair and sometimes I need to
ask questions on message boards and a pic helps with the question.
scanning09 Jan 2006 17:24 GMT1
Is it better to scan in a 35mm negative to the original size or to
select a target size like 4x6 before it imports into Photoshop? Or is
better to just scan in the 4x6 photo prints from the developer? The
file size must be under 100mb. The inkjet prints will be around 11x14.

Question about zoom09 Jan 2006 14:01 GMT25
I remember reading about digital zoom that it is actually equivalent
to the crop utility. I was just wondering, I have an Olympus c170
and when I use digital zoom my pictures are cropped but are the
same average size in memory, whereas when I use crop on my
