Minolta 7D question10 Jan 2006 17:59 GMT3
Does anyone know whether the Minolta Maxxum/Dynax 7D has a body driven, or
lens driven AF system? - and, if the motor is in the body, does AF
responsiveness suffer as a result?
thanks
Minolta 5d kit lenses - what to buy to replace them10 Jan 2006 17:56 GMT3
I am not satisfied with the kit lenses I bought with Minolta 5D, I mean
18-70 mm. It seems they are not sharp enough. I want to replace it with
something. Is AF DT 18-200 mm f/3,5-6,3 (D) a good option? Is it possible to
see somewhere the pictures taken with it? Or maybe some ...
D70 firmware update problem10 Jan 2006 17:40 GMT1
I am trying to update my D70 firmware from A 1.02, B 1.03 to A & B
2.0.
The update shows correctly on the menu but when I press OK nothing
happens, and the menu screen does not change at all.
What do you recommend for displaying panoramas10 Jan 2006 17:10 GMT5
Now that it is so easy to stich panoramas (well, almost easy anyway) do you
have a suggestion for a pano display software?
It should preferably be a free to use solution, and be easy to put in the
homepage, and easy for the guest to zoom around in.
Nikon D70 and CHA problem10 Jan 2006 16:09 GMT2
My husband has been using a certain memory card for several months now.
We have never had any problems.  Well, last night, after shooting
about 40 pictures of our daughter's birthday, he went to import them
into the computer.  He had been able to look over a few of the photos

Konica Minolta Dimage Z610 Jan 2006 15:10 GMT1
After considering the noise issue of the DMC FZ 30, I wondered what you
folks thought of the Dimage Z6. Noise issue as well?  Any other comments?
Thanks again.

Sigma EF-500 DG books10 Jan 2006 14:58 GMT6
I need to learn to use my Sigma flash.  I'm familiar with some of the
basic principles of flash photography, but the Sigma 500 has a lot of
modes and different options with those modes, and I want to learn how
to use them best.
wide angle compact10 Jan 2006 13:36 GMT10
I'm looking for a wide angle (28mm equiv. or 24 if possible) compact with a
decent flash and good manual control. Zoom range is not critical although x
3 optical would be nice. 5mb or above would be best and it needs to be good
and small .
Are you folks MAC or PC?10 Jan 2006 13:35 GMT260
I'm deciding to switch to MAC from PC and am very trepidatious about
making that leap. In visiting the Apple store, I'm not convinced that
everything is so much easier and faster. I want to get into video
editing and it appears there are plenty of programs for PC, and
Sony DSC-R110 Jan 2006 13:12 GMT7
Anyone else have input on this camera....? Good, bad or indifferent?
The question probably asked a 100 times before..10 Jan 2006 11:45 GMT2
..still, your advice is appreciated.
I have a 5MP digital camera (Sony W5). I take pics at high resolution,
edit them in Gimp and save as 100% JPEG file.
So, my average file size at 5MP and no JPEG compression is about 4 MB.

Below is the link to my take on the latest research on being able to
refocus images digitally:

Raw vs JPEG: 240dpi vs 300dpi, Why?10 Jan 2006 09:38 GMT3
When I download RAW images into PS CS2 from a Nikon D50 they come in at
3008 x 2000 at 240dpi and JPEGs come in at 3008 x 2000 at 300dpi. I
download using OSX's Image Capture (3.0.3) program.  Anyone know why
there would be a difference?  Same difference shows up if I shoot a
I Love Wal-Mart!!10 Jan 2006 08:15 GMT39
The thread was too long, so here is my take.  I have never had a problem
returning anything at Wal-Mart.  Never.  But then, why would you purchase a
box that had already been opened and resealed?  Go over to the ink jet
cartridge area, and check how many boxes have been opened.  ...
