HP photosmart 430 - need help resuccitating30 Jan 2006 17:05 GMT1
I need your help... My HP photosmart 430 was not dropped or damaged... but
the lens door (powers it on) was open for about 2 days straight....and the
camera ran until it was completely dead.
I've done the following:
Kodak LS443 Camera Error E4530 Jan 2006 16:02 GMT1
Ron Baird:
It's great that someone from Kodak looks at this group and offers help
- I doubt other manufacturers do that.  Actually I'm not sure that your
comment that a firmware upgrade would improve things.  It didn't for me
Kodak DX4900 camera Repair?30 Jan 2006 14:18 GMT3
I have a problem with a DX4900 where the plastic latch on the battery
compartment lid broke off. The cover won't stay closed so I've been
forced to tape it down in order to use the camera. My attempts to
search for a replacement cover online have been unsuccessful.

Can anyone point me to a URL that supplies digitized or digital clips from
old newsreels and films?
Apple Aperture, Initial Impressions30 Jan 2006 10:36 GMT8
I have been using Apple Aperture for a little bit, now -- still getting
used to the interface and learning about it. It is installed on my
PowerBook G4 with 17" screen, 2 Gb memory.
It seems to run fast enough, even before I installed the 1.01 update. I
FZ30 burst mode30 Jan 2006 10:31 GMT7
on the Lumix FZ30, how many photos could you take using burst mode?
does it work like an SLR, or is there a limit?
how long does it take to save the pics?
P&S cameras give u 3 shots, and 15secs to save.
C-7070 histogram30 Jan 2006 09:50 GMT2
I have an Olympus C-7070 camera.   Recently I have been reading several
articles about histograms and I want to learn more about the information
they can give you.   The histogram on the 7070 has a "blue" coloured section
to the LH side and a "red" coloured section to the RH side ...
Recommendations Please30 Jan 2006 09:02 GMT14
I'm about to buy my first digital camera. I can tell you what I'm
looking for in a camera, but I certainly can't talk with any precision
or technical terms. I hope someone can recommend a camera that will fill
my needs.
Batteries & digital cameras30 Jan 2006 08:54 GMT20
I have been using a digital camera with a Li-Ion battery. It holds a
charge for a long time when not in use, lasts long when I do use it,
and is NOT prone to losing a charge in cold weather.
I am thinking about upgrading to a new camera that uses 4 "AA" NiMH
File size30 Jan 2006 06:32 GMT4
My Olympus C-7070 saves SHQ jpgs as 3-4 M files. When I save these
files with PSE1 after applying unsharp mask the file size is still 3-4
M. When I save the same files with PSE4 the file size if 6-8. Does
PSE4 save more info or just less compression?
Fuji f10,f11-lack of viewfinder.30 Jan 2006 06:12 GMT4
I have been impressed with the f10 specification but prefer to have a
viewfinder. When the f11 was introduced I had hoped that a viewfinder would
be added and was disappointed.
Is there an equivalent camera with a viewfinder?
MAKE BIG BUCKS!!!!! THIS IS NO SCAM30 Jan 2006 03:53 GMT6
Turn $6 into $6000.00 in two weeks : HOW TO TURN SIX DOLLARS INTO SIX
THOUSAND DOLLARS. READING THIS COULD CHANGE YOUR LIFE! IT DOES WORK! I
found this on a bulletin board and decided to try it. A little while
back, I was browsing through newsgroups, just like you are now, and
Fuji Finepix F11 where?30 Jan 2006 02:39 GMT5
Does anyone know what online store to purchase FFF11? I know that it will
not be on the USA market. So What is a good overseas store to purchase?
Thanks

Great news, sports fans!
Both The Mighty Jewel and the 20D have been repaired and are now back
to 100%.  She, from a torn ACL, and the 20D from a busted battery
cover after a nasty spill last week.
