| Epson printers - 2400 vs. 4800 ?? | 12 Jan 2006 13:29 GMT | 102 |
Aside from the obvious difference in print output size, what are the _real quality_ differences between the new Epson 2400 and 4800 printers? The 2400 advertises much higher 5760x1440 dpi printing, but the 4800 at 2880x1440 is listed as a "Pro" model. What gives?

| fast glass? | 12 Jan 2006 08:57 GMT | 80 |
everyone seems to want 'fast glass' - f/2.8, 1.7, 1.4, etc, but I'm left wondering 'why' As most people know, lenses are not at their sharpest wide open - usually requiring f/7 - 9 (ish) before they attain their maximum potential.

| If Canon announces successor to 20D at PMA, when is shelf expectancy? | 12 Jan 2006 06:59 GMT | 6 |
Has there been a pattern of when Canon announces a new camera, and it actually hitting the shelves? I cannot decide between the D200 and the 20D. Don't have the coin for the 5D, but do a lot of low light work. Have always been Nikon, but am willing to consider Canon because of

| Canon A620: no good for video | 12 Jan 2006 06:03 GMT | 5 |
I went and purchased the $400 Canon A620, which is 7 megapixels and which can supposedly record video at 30 frames per second. Well, the framerate may be real, but the sound quality is horrific.
