Point & Shoot that runs on AAs?15 Jan 2006 07:02 GMT33
I'm looking for a decent, shirt-pocket sized P&S that runs on AAs. Two or
three megapixels is sufficient and the ability to do short QT videos would
be nice. I have a CoolPix 990, and it's the right size in picture quality
but it's too big to have on me all the time.

SD Ultra Memory Cards - are they worth the extra cost?15 Jan 2006 05:03 GMT1
I have a Konica Minolta Dimage G530 5Mp camera.
Using SD cards on continuous shutter setting it takes about 4 seconds
between exposures.  I presume this lag is due to the time taken to load
the image into the SD card.
Canon Rebel XT & Lexar CF cards, how bad is it really?15 Jan 2006 04:57 GMT42
I bought a Canon Rebel XT with kit lens and Canon 430EX external
flash a couple of weeks ago. I'd intended on using the 2.25GB
worth of Lexar 8X CF cards I originally bought for my Nikon
5700. The cards were bought at various times from August, 2004

Sorting digital pictures15 Jan 2006 00:02 GMT2
I am making a Picture Directory for a group with about 550 pictures. I can't
figure a way to sort these pictures by name. All files have been changed to
names.  I intend to download them to a disk and then have them printed.Any
advice would be appreciated.
Saving camera data in PS14 Jan 2006 23:48 GMT3
Greetings All!
My camera saves images in jpg format, and when I edit an image and save
in PS8, I find that the camera data (exif) is not saved with the image.
Is there some way to tell PS to do that?

Noise levels as a function of pixel size14 Jan 2006 21:30 GMT120
Is there some formula or scientific basis to estimate noise levels as a
function of pixel size? At the moment I'm assuming that noise levels
decrease with the square root of the size increase, i.e. doubling the
pixel area should lower noise levels by the square root of 2. Is this ...

When ever I take pictures on more then one day, each day downloads (to
my pc) in a seperate file. Is it possible to have all pictures on the
camera for, say a two day trip, show up in one file.

Recovering Deleted Photos14 Jan 2006 15:24 GMT9
There have been a number of discussions about the difficulty of
