I need a device driver for a digital camera15 Jan 2006 23:25 GMT4
I picked up a digital pen camera that doubles as a web-cam. Unfortunately,
the CD that came with it is defective and I cannot install the device
driver. The camera is named a "Dual-Mode DSC 2770" and I bought it as a kit
from a company whose url is www.dk.com. They want $10 for a ...
Buying online?15 Jan 2006 21:21 GMT2
The Sony R1 is $689.00 at bestpricecameras.com. Everyone else seems to
offer it from $850 to $1,000. Is this a case of "it seems to good to be
true, it probably is"?
What's the catch?
Model Releases Required?15 Jan 2006 20:16 GMT14
I'd like to have a better understanding of when model releases are
required.  I realize that the easy answer is probably "If in doubt, get
one." but I'd like something more descriptive than that.  I'd also like to
know if model releases apply to things like buildings.  I know ...
S1 flash capacitor discharging to ground15 Jan 2006 20:06 GMT1
Anyone else had this problem? When the flash should go off a loud snap
can be heard inside the camera and there is no flash. I assume it's the
flash cap discharging to ground. It's my daughters camera and is only 5
months old. I have the same model Canon for over a year without ...

Looking for a decent camera for $400 or so.  Sony comparisons?15 Jan 2006 18:48 GMT3
I need a digital camera.  I have purchased (and returned) a number of
pocket size cameras (Pentax Optio-60, Canon A520, HP707, Kodak Z760)
While I like the size, I wasn't satisfied with the picture quality.  I
think I need a better lense.  I like the sony cameras and I have

Epson P-2000- Converting DVDs15 Jan 2006 17:16 GMT2
I just received an Epson P-2000. Looks like I have to convert DVDs or
downloaded .avi files to MPEG-4 or Motion JPEG to view. Does anybody
know how to do this? I am happy to buy 3rd party software.
Thanks for the help from this newbie,
Sorting Pictures by Name15 Jan 2006 16:44 GMT5
I am making a Picture Directory for a group with about 550 pictures. I can't
figure a way to sort these pictures by name. All files have been changed to
names.  I intend to download them to a disk and then have them printed. Any
advice would be appreciated.

website surprise15 Jan 2006 15:29 GMT1
Saw ad for My PhotoPipe in Shutterbug mag. Tried going there and got a
bit of a surprise (female orgasm). At the bottom of original ad, the
'My' was blackened and the PhotoPipe was in bright white. I just
assumed (wrongly) that the web address was photopipe.com (hence, my
Canon Rebel XT  EOS15 Jan 2006 13:59 GMT1
I would like you to look at two pictures.  How do i post pics in my yahoo album?  I am a novice and though i have taken pics for years, with a fuji S5000 on automatic. I have chosen to graduate to another camera and have set it on AV, with a 400 ISO.  I usually have a f stop of 5 ...
IrfanView text box flaw?15 Jan 2006 13:38 GMT7
Amongst the many other attractions of IrfanView is the ease with which
you can add a simple text box or caption to a photo. Simply select a
rectangle, hit Ctl+t, type the text, and that's it.
However, unless I've missed some setting, one downside is that for 2
Panasonic's design philosophy (FZ-30)15 Jan 2006 11:38 GMT1
Check out the quality of the tests in Panasonic's favour here against
a DSLR (Canon) and the Sony R1 with the large sensor.
The Panasonic may let noise get way out of hand, but it's lens and
sharpness seem to really come though.  This leaves open the

Are usb jump drives a good reliable temporary storage device and if so what
