| Electronic view finder | 18 Jan 2006 14:32 GMT | 8 |
Anybody know if any of the small pocket size digital cameras have EVFs? That is, they carry the same info as the LCD screen when switched to Viewfinder mode.

| Fuji's 5th generation Super CCD HR sensor | 18 Jan 2006 13:52 GMT | 7 |
Can anyone shed any light on how this new sensor works? Take, for example, the 9MP one found on their E900 and S9000 (or S9500) cameras. Fuji says this is 9 million effective pixels, and 9 million recorded pixels, therefore there is no interpolation (such as there was on their

| How do Nikon name their Coolpix numbers? | 18 Jan 2006 07:37 GMT | 4 |
I am very confused by the naming of coolpix. Some models with smaller number are newer than the higher number. Even the none coolpix is true: like D50 is newer than D70, but I understand this naming because D70 is better than D50.

| Rant: Don't buy a camera at Circuit City | 18 Jan 2006 07:22 GMT | 119 |
They charge a 15% restock fee. I bought a Canon SD550 and wanted to return it. They kept 15%. What a rip. Even Ritz allows you to return if your not happy. It was within the 14 day trial period. Their price was $45 lower than local stores so I went for it...I didn't realize it

| reality check? | 18 Jan 2006 07:05 GMT | 6 |
I just read the review (www.steves-digicams.com) of the Nikon S3, and while Steve seems to like it (a lot) the sample pix look utterly horrible! Vignetting, amped up colors, soft, and noisy. Am I seeing things? Or are the samples that bad?

| Sceptre Monitors...anyone know of this? | 18 Jan 2006 04:35 GMT | 3 |
At newegg.com there are tons of these monitors with rave reviews. 8ms refresh 20.1 screens @ $389.00 seems pretty good to me. There seems to be a long listing of this 'brand' so was wondering if anyone here uses it. I still love my old ViewSonic and feel pretty loyal to them, but

| Any Europeans reading this? | 18 Jan 2006 01:16 GMT | 19 |
Can I send a DVD of a home movie, made on my computer, to Denmark and expect that a DVD player there will play it? I know that not all DVD players play burned DVDs, but is it like the video problems of PAL and NTSC comparability? Or just a matter of the

| Kodak P850 and QuickTime | 18 Jan 2006 01:08 GMT | 22 |
Well, this is becoming a book. Now Quicktime will not load. I have an older version which no matter how hard I try will NOT uninstall itself. This is so I can install the new version. I even went to "mindsoft" to try to get rid of the files and that did not work. I have also tried
