Imageshack charges you if you enable multiple photo uploading. Are there any sites like it that allow you to upload more than one photo at a time, that are free? Thanks

| How does the new Micrsoft's color applet affect display? | 19 Jan 2006 17:30 GMT | 3 |
I have installed the applet but am not sure what it can really do. Does it mean that not ICC aware software such as ADCsee will display color correctly based on the embeded ICC profile i.e. WinXP itself will recognize and use the embedded profile?

| Nikon 8700/Canon S2-IS/Panasonic DMC F25K | 19 Jan 2006 15:52 GMT | 11 |
Obviously, a post requesting real user information on the pros and cons of these three digital cameras. I am an architectural consultant. I need a new digital camera with decent optical zoom (pretty much capable of taking clear shots of cornice-level elements on a 3-4 story ...

| Digital Projector | 19 Jan 2006 15:42 GMT | 10 |
I know that this is probably not the group ( looked, honest!) for this post. I would like to buy a digital projector for home and small classroom projection to show my digital photos (mostly Canon Digital Rebel 6.3 MP). I'm looking at an InFocus ScreenPlay 5000 for about $925.

| Picassa to ?? | 19 Jan 2006 15:34 GMT | 5 |
I am currently using Picassa 2 and using its label feature extensively. However, I seem to be outgrowing labels. I have almost as many labels as folders. I am thinking that I need something with 'key' word handling. This is strictly a personal setup but I would like to make it ...

| Depth Of Field | 19 Jan 2006 15:22 GMT | 17 |
Is it true that when photographs are taken with a camera (using manual focus - set before taking the photos and not changed until after taking the photos) at a wide aperture (lower number - about 3.6) - the depth of field should affect the same parts of the image regardless of the ...

| Image hosting question | 19 Jan 2006 14:56 GMT | 4 |
Is there a free image hosting service that could be called *the* place to go, somewhat like the way Google has become 'the' search engine ? I've heard of imageshack.us and photobucket.com, and there seem to be dozens of others.

| LCD monitor specification black hole | 19 Jan 2006 14:48 GMT | 10 |
While most LCD monitor specs list 'viewing angle', there seems to be a massive disconnect between vendors as to what that means. If it were simply a matter of intensity drop off, then it wouldn't be so much of an issue, and the angle numbers could simply be compared along

| MacPro laptop | 19 Jan 2006 14:06 GMT | 5 |
I've ordered the MacPro laptop (1.83) and it will arrive by mid-March. Perhaps the following statement will explain how I hope to use it in storing pics (not my strong point in the past). Best,

| Which Photo vest to buy? | 19 Jan 2006 13:03 GMT | 5 |
I am looking closely at photo vests and have pretty well narrowed it down to the "Domke Photog" I would use it all summer long doing photography at Airshows. Out in the heat and sun and some shows have restrictions on camera bags. Any input on current or past Domke owners.

| Questions on D200 Viewfinder | 19 Jan 2006 12:33 GMT | 2 |
I have seen a captured picture of the viewfinder of D200 in a local magazine that it will be darken out when the battery is taken out. Why is this be designed? And what is this about? Isn't that the DSLR viewfinders are purely optical device? I really wonder.. and this seems

| Contax legacy | 19 Jan 2006 09:21 GMT | 9 |
I have been lurking this newsgroup for a while, getting a lot of useful information. I now have a question. I am one of the (many?) owners of contax/yahica systems who have been left without a smooth path to digital photography.

| Storage media lifetimes | 19 Jan 2006 07:52 GMT | 22 |
This subject has been bounced around on here a number of times and the consensus has been that we really don't know the practical life for files stored on digital media. The latest issue of "Computer World" (Jan 10, 2006) has a good article

| What you don't see while taking a photo. | 19 Jan 2006 06:58 GMT | 28 |
Today got stuck due to a car accident, so while killing time, I took a bunch of photos, of Redrock park, while waiting. I saw something in this photo that I did not see while I took it. See if you can pick it out.
