At 'Steve's Digicams' they list something called: best Amateur Digital
SLR cameras. I would love to have an, entry level, digital SLR of
decent quality but $1000-2000 it way over my limit. Even when they are

Well, bad news sports fans!
I was out yesterday taking pics of the sandhill cranes (see links
below), and my trusty 20D took a bad fall off a handrail onto a wooden
deck.  It was probably my fault since I had my shutter release cable
color fidelity of digital cameras and a way to test for it24 Jan 2006 00:06 GMT61
I am interested in how good current digital cameras are as regards

A letter to the CEO of Pentax Corporation23 Jan 2006 22:08 GMT10
http://www.geocities.com/ricehigh/A_Letter_to_the_CEO_of_Pentax_Corporation.html

disappointed that there has been no response of any kind from Pentax so

Hi people.
Preparing a trip in a country without electricity, I purchased a series
of NB2L (equivalent) batteries for my Canon 350D. As I'll have more

KM to cease camera production23 Jan 2006 20:51 GMT7

Canon A520 camera - AA and NIMH battery problems - only 20 shots per recharge23 Jan 2006 20:50 GMT28
I'm a novice when it comes to cameras or batteries. Long ago when I
bought an Olympus 1.3 MP camera, someone suggested I get a Maha
MH-C204F and some Powerex or Lenmar 2000 mAh NIMH rechargeables. I
also bought a Sony BCG-34HNB2 1-hour charger which came with some 1700
Photoshop Plugin SDK23 Jan 2006 20:23 GMT1
Does anyone have the Photoshop Plugin SDK version 3/4/5/6?
It is included on the CD-ROM for full versions of Photoshop 3/4/5/6,
and is freely available for distribution. I need to make a plugin that
is compatible with early versions of Photoshop, and therefore can't use
Anyone know of organizer program that lauch external viewer23 Jan 2006 18:32 GMT3
Does anyone know of a image/media indexer/organizer that will
permit you to launch an external viewing program, such as
Irfanview, rather than use its own internal viewer?
Reason. One, I like the features of Irfanview.  Two, I would

It seems that the problem  .. "Sony "Picture Package" only works for
administrators"  is a subset of the problem with Picture Package
shipped with Sony devices for win XP.
If you finalize the DVD Picture Package correctly find the movie clips

This is a shot from my trip to Carlsbad Caverns last in '04...and while
