| Maxxum 5D | 28 Dec 2005 09:29 GMT | 7 |
I'm presently playin' with this DSLR and have 10 days before I purchase it for good or exchange it for something else. Until today I was leaning towards the Canon Rebel XT because of it's 8mp over the 5D's 6mp. The camera shop preferred the 5D over the XT. Since I presently ...

| CS2 & XMP | 28 Dec 2005 04:19 GMT | 7 |
Every time I open a Canon Raw file (CR2) in Photoshop CS2 it insists on saving an .xmp file, which I assume is a file that records whatever changes I've made to the CR2 file. I've poked around in seemingly every corner of CS2 and can't find any setting to turn this off. I'm ...

| Shutter button technique | 28 Dec 2005 03:52 GMT | 45 |
I am trying not to shake the camera when pressing the shutter but with the forward placement of the shutter on the Canon Rebel XT (350D), there is a tendency to slightly tilt the camera forward or cause a small vibration. This is a problem when the camera is on the tripod.

| Epson 2200 printing problem | 28 Dec 2005 03:05 GMT | 7 |
Printed some photos that were just great (tecnically) late at night. Turned off computer and printer and went to bed. Got up early and turned both on. Decided to print another copy of one of the prints. It came out with a decided magenta cast. The computer says that all the ...

| Help - which canon? | 28 Dec 2005 02:32 GMT | 6 |
I'm deciding on a P&S to supplement my D70. I have narrowed my choices to either the Canon S80 or A620. I'm leaning towards the A620 because of the cost issue. I also like the AA battery option of the A620.

| Why water photos dark? | 28 Dec 2005 00:03 GMT | 2 |
I have a Nikon D70 with the kit lens. When I take shots of the ocean from elevation, they are always under-exposed even though lighting conditions are normal. This is regardless of the metering mode used. Is there a reason for this?

| Step-Up, Step Down, Reversing Rings | 27 Dec 2005 23:42 GMT | 7 |
Step-Up, Step Down, Reversing Rings I notice that some camera stores sell a "store brand" of these products. Adorama is an example. Their rings are about half of what a manufacturer like B+H sell their adapter rings for. I found a company

| Technology... BAH! Humbug! | 27 Dec 2005 21:04 GMT | 10 |
So as an anniversary gift last March, my wife bought me the iP6000D printer I'd been admiring. Nice printer, I love it. Well worth the CDN$300 as far as I'm concerned. Went out this morning for the Boxing Day sales... saw they're blowing
