Stopping Lenses Steaming Up On DSLR29 Dec 2005 09:49 GMT8
Any tips on stopping lenses from steaming up on DSLR's?  For example, you go
from the cold outside, into a warm humid place?
Obviously, warm the lens up first, but I wondered if there are any other
alternatives.

Please take this poll and vote for what you feel are the most important
features to compare when shopping for a digital camera:

I can share the results later after enough people took it.
viewfinders29 Dec 2005 06:52 GMT9
Gonna get my first digicam and have a viewfinder
question.  Apparently the optical viewfinders on
P&S digital cameras are .......... not so great.
Meantime.......... Lots of folks say they wouldn't even

Need help analyzing a photo...how can I show it?29 Dec 2005 05:50 GMT9
I don't have a website and I don't have a photo uploadable site yet
either. Can I attach a photo here or is it not allowed?
I just got the Canon SD550 and want someone to look at a shot to see
if I'm doing something wrong. It's a 1.0 Meg file that is out of focus
Rant about the term "ZLR"29 Dec 2005 05:07 GMT103
We should do away with the term "ZLR".
In language, theory follows practice.  Meaning is defined by usage
and understanding, even when logic dictates otherwise.
We express aperture by F-number; unfortunately, as aperture increases,
so how many shots should i be able to get on a 16 megabyte card (supplied) w/ a canon a520.29 Dec 2005 03:42 GMT5
not very many, right?
Just Starting & Need Photo Editor Guidance29 Dec 2005 03:37 GMT13
I'm quite new with digital cameras. While I continue to read and study
the various camera's in my price range, we have started to receive
digital photos from family and friends (we're brand new grandparents).
I'd like to know if there are any decent freeware photo editors.  I've
got ink on hands--how to remove29 Dec 2005 03:23 GMT29
I have a Canon Photo Printer (Pixma 4000).
Anyway, I have changed cartridges from time-to-time. Never a problem until
today.
Today, somehow I must have squeezed the new cartridge (YELLOW) and some ink
Fuji S510029 Dec 2005 02:42 GMT3
I have this camera, and recently it has begun to shop what best can be
described as a slight skip when movies recorded on it are played back. I've
tried formatting the card and resetting all settings back to factory
defaults. Nothing seems to work. It did not do this when it was ...
Using Vivitar auto/thyristor 292 with Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ3029 Dec 2005 02:22 GMT6
I recently purchased a Lumix DMC-FZ30. One feature that attracted me to
the camera is the hot shoe.
I have an old Vivitar Auto/Thyristor 292 flash and I'm wondering if I
can use it with the Lumix.
Digital SLRs and macro photography29 Dec 2005 02:22 GMT26
My current digital camera is a Nikon Coolpix 950, which is, shall we say,
a bit long in the tooth.  The reason I chose this camera was its
exceptional (for the time) macro capability.  I got it primarily for
research, but ended up having a lot of fun with it.
