iP4200 why adj. color?01 Dec 2005 10:11 GMT2
I just bought a new Canon Pixma 4200. I did a color test sheet first
off and the colors were a fair bit out of balance. I had to increase
cyan by 20, black by 10 and reduce magenta by 10.
What I want to know is why these printers are apparently not delivered

Newbie- scanning my 35mm negatives01 Dec 2005 07:27 GMT4
I have bought a canoscan scanner to scan my old 35mm colour negatives. It
does a good job though a little slow to set up each neg.
My question is what format to scan. It gives a choice of TIFF, JPEG AND BMP
and resolutions of 100, 300, 600dpi. I will probably use the scanned images
Canon S30 Repair Recommendation01 Dec 2005 07:23 GMT1
I have a 3 year old Canon S30 (3.2 MP) Powershot that I really like, but
lately its been failing, with every third or fourth picture having nothing
but noise in the lower half of the frame. I'm debating as to whether to have
it repaired by Canon or try something new.
SONY VS HP945 the unspeakable truth!01 Dec 2005 07:15 GMT7
I have tried the sony 828 and 717. I am about to buy the Cyber-shot
DSC-H1 which has unbelievably georgeous ergonomics, battery life, and
12x to boot, and takes fine fotos, plus is half the price of the 828.
My problem is that I had a HP 945 and the photos I've taken with that
Canon Powershot SD450 and cat eyes01 Dec 2005 07:12 GMT7
I just tested my SD450 on my cat.  I used
zoom mode indoors and cat's eyes are glowing green
like from some kind of science fiction movie.
I am considering returning the camera because of
High asa rating for dslr than p&s01 Dec 2005 02:38 GMT2
I  have just got a Pentax 1stdl from Canon G1. It blows me re its
higher ASA  rating (800 without problem) compared with my G1.
Why even G6 or other higher end P&S cannot provide that?  For G1 or
even G6 ,  you max out at 200. 400 is practically no go.

Continuous Lighting Kit  - Advice...01 Dec 2005 00:23 GMT10
Here is my situation and possibly someone would be kind enough to push
me in the right direction.
We sell on ebay, my wife sells clothes and we take pictures on a
mannequin.  I sell smaller items from comic books, to smaller toys,
