When reading the instructions of a new purchased 1 gig Olympus XD card,
I was chagrined to read that the life of memory cards is limited.
Does anyone have an estimate of the life of a card?  Are the factors
the calendar age of the card, or the # of pictures taken with a card,

Anyone know where I could purchase a case for my nice new Olympus 8080

Could you experts please enlighten me on the differences between NiMH and
Lithium-Ion batteries?  For example, why does the Canon PowerShot A-series use
NiMH batteries, but the Canon PowerShot SD-series use Lithium-Ion batteries?

Hey, everyone. Battery died during writing (stupid, I know - wasn't
paying attention). I was already expecting to lose the data, but now
the card is unreadable by the camera or Windows XP using a card reader.
Windows sees it, but won't access or format it. Tried FDisk, Card Wiper

I hadn't tried something like this before so I was interested to see how

To those who have purchased a 5D and have now used it for some time,
can you comment on your impressions both positive and negative (no pun
intended)?

I'm looking for an upgrade from this lens. I'm looking for a bit more speed
and sharpness on the long end. While not bad, the 18-55 shows some chromatic
aberration (purple fringing) at some settings. The curved ocean horizon
shots didn't look that great either thanks to lens ...
