| LCD Monitors? | 07 Dec 2005 18:20 GMT | 17 |
I recently purchased a Viewsonic VA712B LCD monitor. It boasted an 8ms response time and 350 nits brightness. Despite multiple attempts at adjusting brightness, contrast, and color settings, the screen always seemed washed out and it was like staring into a cars headlights. So, I ...

If you visit this link, you can get a free digital camera for free. You'll have to sign up for a service. Try the $20 Lowe's card or the $25 Wal-Mart card. Each costs you $1 and you can cancel it immediately after and still get the camera. Thanks!

| f-stop for 4:1 lighting ratio | 06 Dec 2005 23:13 GMT | 8 |
I was reading an article on the web about creating a 4:1 ratio (key:fill) for portrait lighting. In the example given they have the key at f11, and the fill at f5.6 - but wouldn't this be an 8:1 ratio? My camera stops at f11, f8, f6.3, f5.6...

| Projection Screen Resolution | 06 Dec 2005 19:13 GMT | 1 |
Everyone talks about the resolution of digital projectors, cameras, etc. But when we show our photos, many times the limiting resolution is the projection screen. Lenticular screens are very poor resolution and beaded screens are not much better. Matte screens are good. Does

I'm pretty experienced with using .RAW files from my Canon 10D and use a variety of software packages to convert to 16 Bit Tiffs (including Capture One, Photoshop's own converter and, my favourite, RawShooter). I recently bought my wife a Fuji Finepix S9500 camera as she's also
