| full-frame CMOS non-DSLR | 08 Dec 2005 06:34 GMT | 64 |
Sony recently released the first non-DSLR camera (DSC-R1) to employ a CMOS sensor, instead of the usual CCD sensor found in non-DSLR cameras. Would anyone be willing to predict when we can expect full-frame (like the Canon 5D)

| Sharpest Lenses | 08 Dec 2005 05:45 GMT | 14 |
In your opinion, what are specific lenses that are "sharpest" in their class? At any price. Keep in mind, though, that more expensive is not necessarily better (e.g., comparing Nikon 50mm at f1.8, f1.4, and f1.2). This includes both prime and zoom lenses.

I'm finding that in bounce mode with TTL I'm needing +2/3 - +1 stop of exposure compensation. This isn't meant to be the case, right? Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

| Any Guesses on Next Nikkor DX Lens? | 08 Dec 2005 03:45 GMT | 21 |
Now that the Nikkor 18-200 VR is available, have there been any indications, rumors etc. about what other DX lenses Nikon has in store for the near future? Would a 200-400 VR be a reasonable expectation, or maybe a macro lens?

| A610 battery life? | 08 Dec 2005 03:45 GMT | 36 |
I heard that the battery life is impressive (dpreview). I'm wondering if anyone can report back with real world experience. I've taken 50 shots with Raovac alkalines, but it has no sign of stopping yet. If I do well with Alkaline, say 150+ shots, I won't worry about using Ni-mh ...

| Kodak Z740 Camera | 07 Dec 2005 19:49 GMT | 10 |
Hello All; I was all set to buy the Kodak Z740 (10x Optical Zoom) for my daughter for Christmas -- the main attraction of course was the 10x optical zoom lens. I have a rather old DC280 with a 2x optical zoom lens which I

| Finepix F11 or E900? | 07 Dec 2005 19:45 GMT | 4 |
Are there any reviews yet on the E900? I am almost decided to get the F11 as the E900 has some reports of poor autofocus and more 'noise' than the F11. Like the idea of manual adjustments on the E900 and also the bigger pixel count but the F11 (F10) has a really good review status ...
