Battery Grips
Are Battery Grips for the 20D worth the money or is it best to just
buy a second battery and keep it with me?

Kodak Camera Connection software problem.15 Dec 2005 01:20 GMT13
Hopefully someone here may have some ideas. I've tried everything I can
think of without any luck. Here's the problem:
I have a Kodak DX6490 and Camera Dock 6000. Normally I'd press the
transfer button on the dock and a drive icon would appear in Explorer
Sony Cybershot Suddenly Stopped Working15 Dec 2005 01:20 GMT1
My Sony Cybershot is less than a year old and has been great so far. I
last used it on Thanksgiving, then downloaded those pics and put the
camera on my dresser (where it sits when not in use). I just picked it
up again last week to discover it not working. When I turn it on either

canon import-USA lens question14 Dec 2005 21:39 GMT9
Is there a difference between Canon lenses of the same size based on
where they are made or manufactured? The 70-300 IS lens is listed on
B&H for $599 - imported and it is out of stock. The same lens is also
listed for $569 - USA and is in stock. Why the difference?
problem woth Kodak firmware upgrade14 Dec 2005 20:14 GMT13
I have upgraded the firmware on my Kodak DX6340 to v1.10 and since then
the flash light does not work anymore on my camera. I have sent many
emails to Kodak and asked for help but they do not answer. If anyone
has the older version of the firmware (I think v1.08) please send me a

Nano World: Clear, hard nano-based coating
A transparent coating loaded with particles only nanometers or
billionths of a meter in diameter is far harder than other
conventional organic coatings on the market, for potential use in
Kodak - preload C360 picture count?14 Dec 2005 19:27 GMT7
Even thou I hate your battery lid, I'm going to replace
my dx4330 with the c360.  I really hope that you can preload
the picture counter.  It would be nice to preclude the
collision with all the photos from the dx4330.
Rename based on Explorer Thumbnail view14 Dec 2005 17:59 GMT26
Does anyone know of a program (preferably free) that will rename
images based on the position of the thumbnail in Windows Explorer?
I am arranging a bunch (several hundred) images in a slide show that I
want to give to people that have Irfanview.
Quick Connect Tripod Socket14 Dec 2005 16:03 GMT1
I am so tired of the 1/4 inch threaded hole tripod socket. Screwing into
this thing many times is a PITA!
Tripod shoe mounts are quick but bulky and rarely allow a camera case to fit
with it screwed to the camera.
Canon Easy Photo-Print and Photoshopped images14 Dec 2005 14:59 GMT1
Any Photoshoppers out there tell me why jpg files that I've worked on in
Photoshop, don't show up in Canon's Easy Photo-Print window?
It's not a great pain, as I can print them from Photoshop, but I'm curious.
Nikon 3200 Movie Mode - Which Zoom works?14 Dec 2005 12:14 GMT4
I was helping with a buds Nikon 3200 - very nice camera.
But we were confused.  It says that the Digital Zoom does not
work when recording movies.  That seems to make sense.
BUT - does the Optical Zoom work in movie mode?
view loaded clip frame-by-frame on PC?14 Dec 2005 12:00 GMT3
...a wealth of knowledgeable experts in this group!  Could you help me?
I would like to purchase a digital camcorder, or even a good webcam,
which allows me to load the clip onto my PC.  I then want to view each
frame in Macromedia Flash, tracing over the image in any selected
I don't want a DSLR14 Dec 2005 11:01 GMT92
It's getting to the time to replace my Minolta Dimage 5 but I really
don't want to go back to interchangeable lenses and all the problems
they bring.
I do like the manual zoom, manual focus and variety of control on most

Which one of these combos would you get from this list I made from all the
Bogen / Manfrotto tripod/head combos for under $200 at BH Photo? Someone has
offereed a Christmas gift but I gotta choose fast to make delivery date.
