Revive a dead CF card22 Dec 2005 18:58 GMT6
Is there any to try and revive a dead CF card? When I plug the card in
my Canon 300D, it throws "Err 02". When I plug the CF card in the card
reader connected to my linux box, it detects the make and capacity and
then starts throwing errors saying "Couldn't read logical block 0" and
Monitor calibration and color managed workflow question22 Dec 2005 18:18 GMT24
I bought a Colorvision Spyder and calibrated my monitor.
It really helped. However, I am not really sure how this
works and I fear I might be double-color-managing.
The Spyder generates an ICC profile, puts it somewhere
Nikon D70 question22 Dec 2005 18:08 GMT8
The Nikon Speedlight SB-80DX seems to only work when the flash is set to
"A". I usually set it to TTL when I use it on my F100.
The shutter will only release with the flash set to that position.
Otherwise the ISO Auto will flash and the box beneath the battery bar

Support for Canon PowerShot A61022 Dec 2005 17:44 GMT5
I'm greatly enjoying my new PowerShot A610. I'm no novice to digital
photography (this is my fourth such camera), but I'm having a lot of
trouble following the manual, which is written in an overly compressed
form.  The manufacturer's Web site support is even less detailed than

Sony DSC-W522 Dec 2005 07:52 GMT2
I'm thinking about getting the Sony DSC-W5 for my wife.  We have a Sony
digital now and it's great but doesn't have any optical zoom.  I won the
camera in case you're wondering why I'd buy a camera with no optical zoom.
Any opinions on the DSC-W5?  Other recommendations?  Staples ...
flash that can match the shooting speed of camera?22 Dec 2005 05:33 GMT9
Many cameras can shoot several frames per second. However, external flashes
rarely can match this speed unless the required flash power is very low
(e.g. when subject is very close, ISO is set high, and/or aperture large).
Are there any special flash that can fire several times ...
