I have used a Canon Powershot s200 for a few years. I'm ready to upgrade; would someone give me an opinion on which leap to make? I only have experience w/ one digital camera, so don't know much about others except this Canon elph. I've liked it just fine. Would appreciate ...

| More Christmas lights | 26 Dec 2005 10:13 GMT | 8 |
Thought I would try shooting the Christmas tree just to try it. Yeah, I know pictures of Christmas suck. Whatever, it's an exercise. The Canon S2 was used. WB = tungsten. Tripod; no flash; bracketed two over and two under. The lighter one was layered over the

| "Stuck pixel" questions | 26 Dec 2005 08:55 GMT | 1 |
I was doing some low-light Christmas shooting, using my Olympus C-720's manual controls to take exposures of 5-8 seconds from a tripod. Loved the results, but after just a few such shots, the pictures have more and more "hot" or "stuck" pixels.

| Canon A520 clarity? | 26 Dec 2005 04:00 GMT | 2 |
I bought a Canon A520 4.0 megapixel recently, and have been enjoying using it. I've uploaded photos to the computer, but haven't printed photos yet. Based on what I've seen on the computer so far, I'm a little disappointed in the resolution. Edges seem a little fuzzy, and the ...

| Pentax Optio S60 any good? | 26 Dec 2005 02:38 GMT | 1 |
I've been looking for a simple to use compact digital camera for my 85 year old mother. She has tried my Canon S2 IS and gets rather confused with all of the buttons and isn't keen on the size of it. So, I've been looking around for something small that uses either 1 gig SD or ...

| Ready to upgrade to better P&S | 26 Dec 2005 02:27 GMT | 3 |
So many models to choose from but narrowing them down I really like the features on the Panasonic FZ5 but do not especially like the small size and proprietary battery. Does the Minolta Dimage Z6 have any interesting competition ? Is the Z6 as

| Kodak DX4530 (problem with flash) | 25 Dec 2005 18:06 GMT | 1 |
My flash has recently stopped working. But if I use the camera to record video the light does work. So it does not seem like a hardware issue. Has anyone seen this before? I checked and there are no firmwire updates for this camera. Is it possible to reflash the

| Best point and shoot digital in $250-$350 range? | 25 Dec 2005 14:10 GMT | 7 |
I am looking for a camera with a good sized LCD (2.5") and with good enough shooting quality to make excellent 8x10 prints. The camera also needs to be very compact (my wife doesn't like my Sony DSC 717). A 3-4x optical zoom or thereabouts would be nice. It doesn't need to have ...

| Slave Flash and the Canon D20 Question | 25 Dec 2005 13:15 GMT | 7 |
I have tried to use my D20 to trigger a slave. The slave is triggered by the D20's flash OK, but there is enough of a delay that I am not getting any of that light on the subject. I have tried both first and second curtain settings and the recommended slow shutter speed.
