Powershot Pro1 vs Olympus C-8080 WZ31 Dec 2005 22:12 GMT1
I contacted this group about a month ago asking for advice on buying a
digital camera. Well, after a bit of research using dpreview almost
exclusively I think I have narrowed it down to two cameras. I am
considering either the Canon Powershot Pro 1 or the Olympus C-8080 Wide
YES! dx4330 repaired.31 Dec 2005 21:46 GMT8
My flash went out on my fav camera last year.  The repair cost was
just too much so I purchased a broken dx4530 on ebay for $18.
After getting my courge up, I "popped" open the 4330 and
replace a flash "module" with the unit found in the
How do I clean the viewfinder on a Canon 5D?31 Dec 2005 21:05 GMT16
My new Canon 5D has all sorts of crap floating around in the viewfinder
- luckily none of it shows up on the final picture.
I've cleaned the focusing screen and blown air up into the viewfinder
chamber but I can't shift it.
Which brands are the most moisture and dust resistant?31 Dec 2005 20:40 GMT5
Which brands of non-SLRs are best against dust, sand, and moisture,
without the use of an underwater enclosure?  I don't plan to expose any
camera to the elements but just want to know what's most likely to
survive them.
What is a good deal camera for product catalog shooting?31 Dec 2005 18:57 GMT12
What is a good deal camera for product catalog shooting?
I sell electronic products and cloths. Most buyers require photos. I use a
Canon 2M IXUS. The pictures can not show any details of the products. Maybe
because my hands are shaking, or maybe I need a better Camera.
I hesitate to ask... Canon Rebel XT or Nikon D5031 Dec 2005 16:28 GMT40
While I've pretty much made up my mind on which camera to go with, and
I've read pages upon pages on the internet, I still have niggling doubts.
One difference between the two that I have read about is how the images
with the Canon Rebel XT tend to be softer than those with the ...
minolta 5400 Intallation Problem31 Dec 2005 16:07 GMT1
Does any one know if Minolta has any web based support? I have a new
5400 scanner that my computers can not detect. The software is
installed correctly and I changed cables, tried to different computers,
but still no luck.
Printing Software question31 Dec 2005 15:56 GMT13
Using Picassa2 to adjust, catalogue, and print from;  unfortunately cuts the
top of the photo when printing, and I can't adjust the crop to fix this
niggling bug.
Epson Photo R800.  XP Pro SP2.
Photoshop Elements 231 Dec 2005 15:54 GMT17
I have a chance to buy Elements 2 for $20. Is it a good place to start? Is this a good, inexpensive way to learn Adobe PS Elements 2?

True life size photo31 Dec 2005 13:06 GMT12
I've taken photos for many years, owned dozens of cameras, and read lots of
books, but have always wondered about, and never found a good explanation on
how to take a photo so the resulting print image is exactly true life size.
What camera settings do I need, or auxiliary aids, ...
THANKS re Royal Camera31 Dec 2005 13:01 GMT3
Thanks to all who answered about Royal Camera.
Ended up buying from a old time camera shop a few miles away from home.
His price was the going rate that the responsible online stores were selling
the 20D for so I stuck to buying local and saving the shipping cost.

Can I recover the deleted AVI files from my digital(still) camera?

Casio Exilim XZ-75031 Dec 2005 10:36 GMT4
Thinking of getting one of these.  Read reviews & seems OK.  Small,
versatile & pretty good quality pics.
Any owners out there want to share their thoughts as to whether it's a good
buy?

Just went and brought a Cannon A610 camera based on many long hours of
trying to decide what digital camera to buy My choice was between a
Kodak DZ740 and a Cannon, true the Cannon is only a 4X zoom where as the
Kodak is a 10X but have read more good things about Cannon than with
