When I got my Nikon D70, I ordered an additional battery (rechargeable lithium ion). It's not that I take a lot of pictures at one time, I just wanted to have a backup since you can't exactly go to the grocery store and get a new one.

I have read from a number of people the LF cameras have a large advantage over other cameras because they can shift the lens and thereby avoid perspective distortion that a camera with a fix lens would suffer.
