Nikon Coolpix speedlight exposure control06 Nov 2005 20:40 GMT4
I've always used the down-deep menus on my Nikon Coolpix 4500 to
change the exposure option of the speedlight. (always thought the menu
item was placed too deeply to be convenient). Today I accidentally
opened a menu whereby the command dial changed the speedlight exposure
Transferring images between memory cards06 Nov 2005 20:24 GMT6
My wife prefers to store photos (of our newborn daughter) on our
camera's memory card, so that she can whip it out and scroll through
200+ photos any time she wants.  Trouble is, the memory card is now
full and we need to buy a new, larger-capacity card.  Question: Is
Prosumer vs DSLR for copying slides06 Nov 2005 19:28 GMT4
Greetings! I want to copy slides [few thousands] after projecting the
slides on the screen. Which will be better? DSLR has one problem - one
can not see the pictures in the LCD as one can see in the Prosumer P&S
before taking the pictures. DSLR has the advantage of bigger image

Which camera should I buy?06 Nov 2005 18:39 GMT5
I apologize if this isn't the correct newsgroup for this question. I am
wondering what digital camera you would recommend with the following rough
specs. I am kind of overwhelmed with the choice out there... :)

Sony slave flash HVLFSL1B not working for me06 Nov 2005 18:24 GMT1
I have been getting good results with my Sony Cybershot DSCP200 digital
camera for a few monthes now. Recently, I added an external slave
flash (model HVLFSL1B). This flash does not really communicate with
the camera. It has a light sensor that points in the same direction as
Canon S2 IS Histogram display06 Nov 2005 18:22 GMT4
In the manual, Canon shows a histogram of an image. Either I'm
completely missing the obvious, or there isn't an explanation of how
to access the histogram display. Can someone either tell me I'm blind
or at least point me in the right direction?
Photo Business cards, not inkjet, thick paper, who does them?06 Nov 2005 14:06 GMT1
I figure there must be some photographers here who use photo business
cards, *real* business cards on thick paper and not done with inkjet
printers.  I'm looking for a printing company who does these but
doesn't charge scalper's prices (I'm not looking for cheapo work,
So how do Fuji camera rank?06 Nov 2005 12:03 GMT7
The camera I'm looking at right now to buy is a Fuji and I was wondering how
they rank compared to other top manufacturers. Thank you.

Find/delete corrupted images06 Nov 2005 09:46 GMT7
I just did data recovery on a hard drive, and now have thousands upon
thousands of image files I need to wade through.  Most are duplicates
of each other, and most are corrupted.  There's lots of chatter on how
to fix a corrupted image file, but I just want to delete them.  Is
Picture Project Usability06 Nov 2005 08:28 GMT6
Although I'd classify this program as lame, I do use it.  However, it has
one of the worst features I've seen in a program and I've just sent my
comments to Nikon.  See below.
If anyone else has the same opinion, perhaps you might care to send a
fuji frontier 340 file structure question06 Nov 2005 08:17 GMT2
i've found that one of the problems with the frontier is that you can't
merge orders without having to jumble around a number of things.i was
hoping that all the photo's for a order would just be stored in a
normal folder, but i was told that all the photo's for a order are
Camera recommendation for A3 size printing.06 Nov 2005 08:15 GMT1
Saw the post earlier. I also want to print a3 size. Have done a bit of
research and found out that megapixels don't mean as much as a quality
sensor.
I was about to buy that new 9 megapixel Fuji but what would you guys
