96 dpi x 96 dpi?29 Nov 2005 14:46 GMT8
I have a FujiFinepix a330, 3 mp. Using the stock software that came
with it, the best quality I can get is a 2016x1512 at 96dpi x 96dpi. Is
this the best I can expect or will better software improve my dpi?
HELP - need a cam that doesn't need software install29 Nov 2005 14:30 GMT27
I used to have a Olympus d40 that would plug into any usb and look like
another drive. There  was no need to install software to upload pics.
Does anyone have any recommendations for an under $300.00 replaement
with that same feature?
Getting the camera wet29 Nov 2005 14:23 GMT19
There was a fire on the street last night. And it was pouring rain. I took
my D70 out to get some shots and got it wet.
Here's my question: how bad is that? I didn't submerge it, I just took some
pix in the rain. When I got inside, I dried off the camera with towels and

Does anyone know of any convenient solutions to store photos while on a
vacation?

lines of what Photoshop offers as a web gallery but I'm looking for

Media cards29 Nov 2005 08:43 GMT3
When I copy pictures from my hard drive to my XD or Smartmedia card why
will they not show up in the camera or Developing kiosk (generates a
read error) but they are visible and viewable on any computer.
Thanx

"almost DSLR"29 Nov 2005 06:05 GMT13
I bought a Dimage 7Hi when it was first introduced and inspite of some
problems loved the feel of it, the quality of the picts, etc.
Now that I am having the "visiting hours" for the camera I am looking for a
new one.  I have been out of the market since I bought the 7Hi and have
Fuji and the horror of complex lens variation29 Nov 2005 05:41 GMT18
This thread was (or should be) terrifying for anyone buying
a camera/lens where the price is "artificially low."  The 10x+ zooms
on these cameras have great complexity.  They are asked to zoom to 10x
their lowest focal length, act as macro lenses, etc.  All in a camera

Sub-300 Dollar Digital Camera29 Nov 2005 04:26 GMT2
Last Year, I won an HP 935 Photosmart camera in a contest.  I certainly
didn't complain about the price.  5.2 megapixals.
We frankly, LOVED the pics the camera took.  Outdoor shots were
stunning in terms of detail and clarity, and even the indoor shots with
Possible problem with my Canon Lens29 Nov 2005 03:33 GMT2
Anyone else encounter this, or is it my operator erro.
I'm taking 3 different shots of an identical subject with camera on a
tripod.  Each shot I'm focusing on a different part of the frame ( so
I can work on increasing DOF in Photoshop)

Compact Versus DSLR29 Nov 2005 01:19 GMT53
I currently own a Canon G6
I am thinking of getting a DSLR either a Canon 350 or Nikon D70
My question - will I see a BIG difference in quality of should I spend much
more and get a £900 to £1000 DSLR to see the difference ?
