closest macro-focusing ability oo OLD or new digital cameras? (for postage stamps)13 Nov 2005 01:20 GMT14
need digital camera, new OR used. its -sole- purpose will be making
images "for the web" of individual postage stamps, either at 800 x 600
(or that's the size they'll be 'reduced to', anyway).  'huge pixel size'
files aren't needed, so maybe an older digi-cam would be suitable ...

For two years I have been using Adobe PhotoDeluxe Business Edition (I
believe v. 2.0) to edit photos, etc.
Last after trying to install the driver for my didital camera, I found
Adobe PhotoDeluxe has changed.
PhotoDeluxe BE 1.012 Nov 2005 23:58 GMT3
In an earlier post I said I was using Photo Deluxe Business Edition 2.0.
It is actually 1.0
For the past two years I've had no problems, but now when I try to save
a photo after editing, etc., a box pops up saying. "The photo browser
RAW file sizes12 Nov 2005 20:44 GMT10
Interesting comparison of RAW file sizes from my 8 megapixel Canon
350XT (10+ MB at full resolution) and my 6 megapixel Fuji S7000 (12+ MB
at full resolution). The latter is not using Fuji's proprietary
doubling to 12 megapixels.
Any Fav camera bag for Nikon D50?12 Nov 2005 19:39 GMT12
I just got a D50 and like it a lot. But, I am still trying to shop for
a camera bag/case for it.
I'd like one that hangs the camera lens downwards so the case doesn't
stick out too much. I like to keep my camera with me and hate bumping

Web Authoring Software for Photo Sites12 Nov 2005 19:29 GMT26
I have for some time been contemplating putting together a web site with
some photo albums showing travel, photomicrography and miscellaneous
images. I have never written a web site before, and wondered what
program was considered the best to use for this. I have no particular
USB drives12 Nov 2005 19:28 GMT2
A while ago I took 3 of the HDDs out of my main computer when It was
having problems. After using 2 of them in USB cadies for a few days
after the computer was working again, one of the drives could no
longer be accessed. I put it in an older computer and it worked ok.

saving a .dng to .psd in Photoshop Elements 4.012 Nov 2005 17:30 GMT4
I recently upgraded from Elements 3.0 to 4.0, and so far I'm not
pleased.
I opened a .NEF (Nikon RAW)  file, and when I went to save it I could
only save in .dng format. In 3.0 I could save it as a .psd, and as

Belkin Pre-N stops working during photo uploads12 Nov 2005 14:23 GMT4
I have recently switched from a wired Belkin router to a Belkin Pre-N
wireless. I've run into a problem when trying to upload JPG photo files to
Yahoo and Walmart photo sites. After 1 or 2 files, the router stops working
and has to be reset after which 1 or 2 more files will ...

Problem installing Nikon Capture12 Nov 2005 11:32 GMT8
I recently bought a new computer with WindowsXP and had to reinstall
all of my apps.  The one app I'm unable to install is Nikon's Capture
(v4.3).  Every time I try it crashes the computer, and the "blue
screen of death" disappears before I'm able to read the error message.
Backorder B&H already 5 months...12 Nov 2005 09:24 GMT4
This is just some negative feedback and a caution to all that purchased
something in backorder at B&H...
I have bought at B&H several times with very good experience (quick
delivery etc) but this time it's really out of hand. Back in June (5
