Which Canon Lens would you suggest...30 Nov 2005 05:45 GMT15
I'm primariy interested in taking shots in low light music club
situations, anywhere from 10-20 feet away from the stage.
Right now I'm considering two L glass lens'

Now my daughter wants one too30 Nov 2005 04:53 GMT20
No she cannot have my S2IS. But she will settle for a Pentax Optio 60. Any
suggestions as to a Canon similiar? She would like some AV / TV control and
would happily accept 4mp (or even a 3mp if it was a good camera). Older
model would be fine. Her $$ limit (well, actually mine) ...
AS vs. 2sec delay30 Nov 2005 02:50 GMT6
Anti-Shake vs. 2sec delay.
The 2sec delay seems great.  no need to carry a tripod or have AS.
I used it with a 140mm lens.  without the delay the photo was blurry.
it simply works.
Fuji or Canon Movies?30 Nov 2005 02:49 GMT5
Which movie mode is the best? The Fuji f10/11 or Canon A610/620. Fuji seems
to get nearly twice as much on a card so is it compressed much more. Also
Fujis may be a lot less grainy. Id like to see some
comparison of the two makes somewhere especially in low light
Sub-300 Dollar Digital Camera30 Nov 2005 02:20 GMT25
Last Year, I won an HP 935 Photosmart camera in a contest.  I certainly
didn't complain about the price.  5.2 megapixals.
We frankly, LOVED the pics the camera took.  Outdoor shots were
stunning in terms of detail and clarity, and even the indoor shots with
Has anyone heard of the Canon EOS 70-210mm?30 Nov 2005 01:05 GMT4
The question abaove says it all really.
Has anyone heard of the lens and what's the general concensus on it's
quality?
Thanks,
Entry-level DSLR compared to Prosumer (SPEED)30 Nov 2005 00:58 GMT36
The argument about DSLRs (and it's accurate) is that they eclipse
conventional P&S cameras when it comes to providing a noise-free
clean image, especially at high ISOs. However, the vast majority

Digital Rebel XT 350D Lens29 Nov 2005 23:34 GMT17
I am new to DSLR, and want a decent telephoto/zoom lens for bringing things
in the distance up close. Picture clarity/sharpness is my major concern. I
foolishly purchased a Canon EF 75-300 f/4-5.6 III. I am not at all happy
with it. I am willing to spend a conservative $600 or so ...
Availability of Nikon D70s in the UK29 Nov 2005 22:06 GMT4
Local camera shop tells me that Nikon D70s's aren't available ATM
because of a problem with the sensor. Amazon UK show no availability
for several weeks, but not Amazon US.
Anyone know any more about the problem?
Cameras using XD card29 Nov 2005 21:56 GMT2
I am looking for a camera similiar to either the Panasonic FZ5 or the Canon
S2 IS that uses xd cards as I have 6 cards from my Olympus C-750.
Thanks
better ISO or image stabilizer for lower-light shots?29 Nov 2005 19:23 GMT17
Just curious, if I want to do a lot of lower light/indoor photography
without flash, whats better?:
1)Cleaner high ISO sensitivity: Something like the Fuji Finepix F10 which
can shoot cleanly at

Canon lens for wildlife29 Nov 2005 15:12 GMT11
I am a new photographer. I have chosen to go with the canon 20D. I am
considering the canon 100-400 IS usm-L lens. My concern is that it may
be too slow at f/5.6. I am shootng large animals, bears, moose, etc.
Canon says it is great for wildlife.
