Photoshop Elements tutorial/reference27 Oct 2005 21:12 GMT13
I ordered Photoshop Elements, and it will be delivered on Friday.  What
reference books and/or tutorials do you recommend?
I assume that there will be a reference document on the install disks,
but I much prefer having hard copy, so I'm willing to but a dead-tree
Paintshop Pro files in IrfanView?27 Oct 2005 19:51 GMT17
I still have a lot of .PSP files, from the time when I used to make
wider use of PaintShop Pro than I do nowadays. IV opens these on a
d-click, but does not display them in its browser.
Is that a design limitation, or a setting I've missed please?
Shrinking pics for email27 Oct 2005 19:34 GMT15
I have Adobe Elements 2.0,  Jasc Paint Shop Pro Studio, and MS Digital
Image 10.  I want to eliminate two of them, the main criterion being
the ability to shrink pictures prior to emailing.
With Adobe,  finish  editing a pic and I SAVE AS. Before the process

I've been seeing lots of price cuts, rebates, and deals on 20D packages
lately (like the Costco package with IS lens).
Since this model is getting really long in the tooth (but I like it
anyway), I'm thinking that I might wait a little longer before

I need advice on buying a P+S camera with the best possible macro rendering,
i need macro shots that are really sharp and detailed.
Currently i own a Canon G6 but i don´t think it´s very sharp in the macro
area (for allround shooting very fine though).

some digital images from New England fall 200527 Oct 2005 10:36 GMT6
Recently returned from almost 3 weeks in N.E. ... pretty disappointing
trip because of the weather and lack of vibrant colors ... the first
week (White Mountains of New Hampshire) it was very hot, typically
82-85 F for the highs compared to the usual 55 F.  Mt. Washington

Filter for Sony DSC-H127 Oct 2005 07:22 GMT1
Would I be correct in thinking that only Sony brand filters will fit the
"sloped" thread on the lens of the DSC-H1?
If not, anyone suggest a source in the UK?
(£90 for the Sony part sounds a tad dear!)
