I own a Canon 300D camera which uses a Compact Flash card.
When connecting the card to my computer to delete images that I have
copied to the hard drive to make more free space on the compact card,

Folks
about to purchase the 1Dmk2 n but have got "chilled feet" as the bucks are
pretty high.  I have a 20D and love it but would like to have the AF system
of the 1D.  Has anyone here brought a 1D mk 2 and been disappointed with it?

Exposure Compensation increases or decreases light.  However, why do we
need it
with all the shooting modes such as beach, action, etc.?
In beach mode, the light is decreased as well.  In action mode, shutter

I bought my 20D on 01/04/05.  Used it with a Sandisk Ultra 2 512mb card
for 4 months approx.  No problems.  Always showed about 130 exps after
clearing card (best JPEG setting). Took about 800 exps.  Near end
August, after clearing showed 105 shots.  Contacted Canon who said its

Alternayive to "Thumber" with batch processing ?27 Oct 2005 23:03 GMT3
I have been using "Thumber" the last 4-5 years for generating thumbnail
web-pages ... but miss the ability to do batch processing e.g. from the
command line (e.g. during the night when I do no use the PC).
Any good software for this ?  (Does not have to be free or cheap !)
