Whenever I import images from my digital camera (using WinXP shell) I am presented with the alert dialog box that says that 'because of the dimensions of the picture rotating might reduce the quality'. When I was a novice digital camera user (not that I'm not still) I tested ...

I am very pleased with the results taken in RAW on my Nikon D70 but the photos taken in JPEG, especially the colours, don't seem to be as they should. Perhaps my settings are incorrect?

| Corrupt CF Card | 02 Oct 2005 00:21 GMT | 5 |
I recently went on a cruise to Alaska and thought I had taken some pretty nice pics with my digital camera. When I got back from the cruise I loaded the card into my card reader and most of the pictures were not even readable. A few had some weird psychedelic colors and a

Can anyone suggest some best practices for storing and archiving of digital photographs? Specifically, I would be interested to discuss the following:

| Canon 5D and limited lens choices | 01 Oct 2005 20:30 GMT | 37 |
Canon "designed for digital" lenses which will cover a sensor the size of a 35mm frame are pretty thin on the ground. This means early buyers of 5D Canon DSLRs could experience "purple fringing" or Chromatic Aberrations off the sensor's micro lenses far worse than 'crop factor'

Anyone know of any free sites that allow you to upload your photos? I've tried out Yahoo Photos, but I don't really care for the site since I see no way to download the full image at its original resolution. Suggestions?
