| Wide or narrow angle? | 05 Oct 2005 21:28 GMT | 7 |
Apparently some cameras have a wider angle of view than others - i.e. good for indoor or group shots, but how do I interpret those lens figures i.e. 38-114mm or 28-105mm etc? how do I decide which camera has a poor (narrow) field of view and which has good 'wide angle' performance?

| Recommend camera with 2.5" TFT screen | 05 Oct 2005 21:08 GMT | 4 |
I'm hoping to pick up one of these fairly cheaply. My old digital camera works fine, apart from its measly 1" TFT screen, so in my upgrade the only thing I'd really like is a nice big 2.5". Hopefully pretty cheap.

I'm buying a Canon A520, and 8 or so NiMH batteries and a charger for them. I've read up on different chargers and the advantages and disadvantages of smart chargers as well as the differences in price. My guess is, that after a month or so, I'll use the camera sporadically,

I have a tripod with a pan-head that I'd like replace with a ball-head from my monopod. But after opening up the tripod and monopod, I can't figure how to do the surgery. Below are the pics of the tripod head, monopod head and the ball-head. Are these standard designs?
