I have 5.5, and I use it to tweak my digital images before printing. Don't do much more than that. I suspect that a lot of people have similarly modest requirements. Are most people upgrading every year, or are there a lot of old versions of

| Bare bones photo editor | 07 Oct 2005 17:20 GMT | 10 |
Could anyone suggest a very basic photo editor that will let me get in and out of the program in a snap? Really all I want to do is open a photo(s), resize and adjust brightness and that's about it.

| Browsing in Date Taken sequence | 07 Oct 2005 17:19 GMT | 9 |
One strength of IrfanView (3.97) is that it can sort in 'EXIF date', i.e Date/Time Taken, which is often my preferred sequence. As far as I know, none of these freeware alternatives can do so: FastStone Image Viewer

| Silly question re: battery charger | 07 Oct 2005 13:57 GMT | 6 |
I have a Sony Ni-MH battery charger (BC-CS2A) that came with my Cybershot DSC-P73 camera. The camera's manual says to use only Sony brand Ni-MH batteries in the charger, but the label on the charger itself only says to use Ni-MH and not other types (alkaline, manganese, etc.).
