Why is my image size 12.62 X 9.46 @ inches and 180 resolution when shoot a .jpeg and 9.46 X 7.41 inches and 240 resolution when shoot Raw? Is it safe to upsize so I can print 8 X 10? Canon G3. Thanks http://sitekreator.com/Bryandrum/main_page.html

Any ideas as to the best digi-cam under $400 to recommend to someone who has taken thousands of photos on auto (usually with ASA 800 film)? Ideally, it would be usable at least to ISO 200 and have f/14 or greater. Zoom is not important.

I have the opportunity to visit the local Tamron distributor. Armed with my 350D I want to test some lenses eg. the 18-200 the 24-135 (this one seems to have the best ratings) etc. The only lens I have is an old 28-105, about 8 or 9 years old.
