I've accidentally deleted jpegs from my XD card while downloading to my PC using the card reader (instead of downloading via Camera) - Silly me! Now of course the camera, when switched on, wants to reformat the card - but when I attempt to do so I get "Card Error"

I'm about to get a digital SLR for the first time. I'm in my 50s so have to consider a bright viewfinder. I have some old Leica, Contax and Takumar lenses and adapters to EOS non-digital bodies which I already use.

Does the konica minolta Z20 have any special kind of screw mount ??? I've tried to put a hamma stepping ring (43mm -> 49mm) or a 43mm filter and it does not fit (won't screw). Does it need a "special" adapater or any king os special filters or

Most of the lens manufacturers have now come out with lenses optimised for the small image sensor DSLR camera. To use Tamron as an example they have the Di II for digital only, Di for both and SP superior performance lenses for use on any camera.
