Mamiya Sekor 60mm f/2.8 1:1 macro14 Oct 2005 23:37 GMT4
Couldn't resist the urge and bought this lens to mate with my Canon
300D for some macro work. Does anyone else own this lens? Its a M42
(Pentax screw) mount lens.

Card Error (Card wiped on PC)14 Oct 2005 21:04 GMT12
I've accidentally deleted jpegs from my XD card while downloading to my PC
using the card reader (instead of downloading via Camera) - Silly me!
Now of course the camera, when switched on, wants to reformat the card - but
when I attempt to do so I get "Card Error"

Pentaprism v. pentamirror for manual focus lenses14 Oct 2005 19:19 GMT34
I'm about to get a digital SLR for the first time. I'm in my 50s so
have to consider a bright viewfinder. I have some old Leica, Contax and
Takumar lenses and adapters to EOS non-digital bodies which I already
use.
Catalog crunches14 Oct 2005 19:04 GMT3
I'm looking for the showstopper in these photo catalog/manaager/organizer
programs, of the hobbiest level in the ~$20-60 range.  My focus is on
editing the Windows and the EXIF-IPTC-XMP metadata and assigning captions,
descriptions, searchable keywords, creating categories and ...

Does the konica minolta Z20 have any special kind of screw mount ???
I've tried to put a hamma stepping ring (43mm -> 49mm) or a 43mm filter
and it does not fit (won't screw).
Does it need a "special" adapater or any king os special filters or
Di II vs Di vs SP lenses14 Oct 2005 17:50 GMT2
Most of the lens manufacturers have now come out with lenses optimised for
the small image sensor DSLR camera.
To use Tamron as an example they have the Di II for digital only, Di for
both and SP superior performance lenses for use on any camera.

A question about exhibition paper for inkjets.14 Oct 2005 14:02 GMT2
As you may see in my previous post I am experimenting with a couple of
different papers and inks.
My question; What papers do you use for your high quality exhibition prints?
I am looking at sizes up to A3+.
Why no cameras with double exposure ?14 Oct 2005 09:39 GMT43
Would be an easy way to extend the dynamic range. The procedure would
be:
1. Take underexposed image to capture the highlights
2. Read image

Alright...14 Oct 2005 09:01 GMT30
...So the Padres are the suckiest team to ever win their division...But as I
was going through some old image files...I came accross this shot I snapped
that turned out to be the final grunt from a future-hall-of-famer, batting
